From the Telegraph review (thanks to purpledoris):
'Where is David Bowie when you need him? Arguably the boldest and most creative solo artist in the history of rock, he seems the ideal icon for these uncertain times, the kind of future pop visionary who might bring the blurred possibilities of a disintegrating music culture into sharp focus.'
I'll tell you where he is: hanging, twitching from a length of electrical cable in a fume-filled lockup in the East End.
If only this were true...
EDIT re-reading that, there's one bit I have no argument with: he is indeed the perfect icon for these times: shallow, image and fame obsessed at the expense of quality, really fucking shit and disliked intensely by me.

Yes, where is David Bowie?
What we really need is for someone to take all the shitty forms of music being spunked out of the radio these days and consolidate them into one manageable, bite-sized bandwagon...

On balance, not bad
Due to the arrangement of the stage, our drummer couldn't hear our amps and so the timing was a bit ropey in places. It's also hard to sing a slow blues number with much feeling when you're painfully aware that the bottom string of your bass has slipped out of tune.
Still, the audience seemed to enjoy it, which is the important thing. My friend filmed most of our set, and, watching it back, it didn't actually sound too bad out the front-of-house, so I won't complain.

Way cool.
If ever I go back to the UK, I'd love to come see you play. Or if you make it big and come out here I'd love to see you play.

Tell you what
There's some ropey live recordings from a few years back on our myspaz. (We really should put something fresh up there...)

That it is
I do believe the decline in popular music after 1975 can be at least partly attributed to a lack of blues.

But is is true
Bowie truly is "the boldest and most creative solo artist in the history of rock"

So do a shit load of people,
that's why most people on here dislike him, because they're desperate to be unique and interesting.

I also don't mind some of U2's earlier stuff
But concede the point that Bono is, in fact, a massive dong.

That's rather like
being a crashing dullard from Milton Keynes in reality, but naming yourself a crazy 'psycho' in attempt to raise oneself out of the morass of mediocrity in which one finds oneself, isn't it?

You know, Monty
After reading your posts with interest for a while now, I've come to realise something. Something that has been bugging me for some time; something that that sheds a lot of light on your psyche and why you are the way you are...
You really, REALLY don't like David Bowie, do you.

What makes you say that?
I think he's really cool. I'm really 'into Bowie' - so much so that I pronounce it to rhyme with 'now-ee' rather than 'Joey'. It's how we true fans say it.
*wears eyepatch*

Oh, I dunno
It's just something in the words you use that gives it away. That, and I'm a perceptive bastard.
