Vis: Vipros' tractor thread
What was the most recent mp3 you obtained? Be it legally, from ripping your own CD, or on the sly.

Mine was The Dirtbombs cover of "I'm qualified to satisfy you", which is visiting from some alternate reality where Barry White and Kurt Cobain were the same person.

Billy Bragg, The Home Front
I'm just rediscovering Billy after reading his biography.
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:24, Reply)
Billy rocks.

(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:26, Reply)
He really does.
I remember buying all his stuff about 20 years ago, and just loving it. Its probably even better now that I'm older.
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:29, Reply)
I think I'm going to have to do the same.
Re-discover him that is.
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:29, Reply)
he's best listened to at a festival

(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:36, Reply)
I don't like crowds.

Hawkwind
is best listened to at a festival, not that whinging dullard.
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:39, Reply)
it's traditional, though!

(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:41, Reply)
Right!!!
As I won the last argument, you're not allowed to mention Hawkwind for a whole week.
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:42, Reply)
I'm not sure I can commit to that.

(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:44, Reply)
It's not a request, it's an order.

(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:45, Reply)
Jawohl!
*clicks heels*
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:46, Reply)
That's more like it.
Now I'm off to bed because it's waaaaaaaaaay past my bedtime.

I'll be checking all boards for any Hawkwind posts you may try to slip in while I'm asleep.

Twisty, heavy stuff.
(, Thu 4 Mar 2010, 22:47, Reply)
i forgot the question
I think the last MP3 might have been Clockwork Quartet, or it might be something else. I tried to get Counting Crows' recovering the satellites on Amazon, but something weird happened and I failed

sadly
displaying my abject lack of musical taste the last MP3 I listened to was 'Someday you will be loved' by Deathcab for Cutie, and the last one I bought was 'Mnnie the Moocher' by Cab Calloway

Christopher Brookmyre - Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks - Disc H - Track 12.MP3
Was the last track I "acquired".

Well,I say that, I'm not sure if it was the last one to arrive in the swarm* but it was the latest timestamp once the folders had been moved to V:\Complete.

The last actual music track I got was some John Spencer Blues Explosion stuff prompted by Beck's username that I haven't got round to listening to yet.

* by swarm I obviously mean legal download method and any references in this posting that might sound even vaguely like I would ever indulge in copyright infringement are mis interpretations by the reader.

The entire ACDC back catalogue
I'm not saying how.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 3:08, Reply)
I bought the Raid and Ruins Hellsing Albums
They are both awesome albums and I suggest you all give them a listen. I have been listening to them for ages but just bought them because I personally think that's the right thing to do. I like to listen to music when I read but I usually listened to instrumentals and classical because I find the English words put me off whats happening in what ever I am reading but as these albums are all in Japanese it's not an issue.

RAID

RUINS
