I've started playing again the Monkey Island Series and they are as good as I remember. I'm so glad I bought them as a present to the bf.
I'm as well playing Wii and DS whenever I can. I truly miss the PS and Final Fantasy.
What are you playing now? Which video game would you recommend?

I even won a game online yesterday. It took me 4 goes but still, I won.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:26, Reply)
I don't play online. I don't have the time to do it.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:28, Reply)
I've actually slammed Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on my credit card lately for a mere £7, and I'm constantly obsessed with Football Manager and FIFA.
Hmm
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:42, Reply)
easy to play impossible to master. Definatly worth the £30
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:43, Reply)
*edit* £20 delivered on amazon yipee.

I would recommend Kingdom Hearts, it's not just for girls. It's Square Enix so there's lots of running around fighting things like badgers in fields to build up your XP, but it's lots of fun since it's combined with Disney, so you enter all the Disney worlds. It's fun, even if you're not a girl.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:28, Reply)
They're all good fun.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:31, Reply)
it's such an awful crunching sound
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:41, Reply)
House of the Dead - Overkill. Played using a hand cannon in gangster configuration (fire it sideways).
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:31, Reply)
Zelda and Prince of Persia were great.
The Lego games are good fun if you don't want to get hooked.
And don't forget the Rabits for parties!
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:34, Reply)
Overkill is just balls to the wall shoot the fuckers and not much more. Excellent relaxation.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:38, Reply)
£25 at play.com. Postpone that trip to Elizabeth Duke. You know it makes sense.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:05, Reply)
I've got Indiana on the Xbox and Batman on the PS3 and they're a lot easier to control than the Wii, although I guess it's what you're used to.
Rabbids is the best game for parties. I love Pimp My Rabbid.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:06, Reply)
I don't understand Pimp my rabbid. Always get it wrong.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:15, Reply)
my friends and I have worked out some of them, like if he needs to look tacky you have to dress him up like a trashy woman but if he needs to look silly you should dress him up like a dinosaur. However, it's still pretty hit and miss since some of them cancel each other out. There's probably some loser online who's made a table of them or something.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:43, Reply)
But can heartily recommend Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It's bloody brilliant. The plot is surprisingly good and the running around twatting enemies with a lightsaber and chucking stuff about using the Force is obviously awesome
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:34, Reply)
Whilst watching other people play drunk is hilarious. Watching a bunch of your mates trying to play Rock Band whilst plastered is like watching a bunch of retards trying to fuck a doorknob
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:54, Reply)
Then get the Rayman's raving rabits.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:58, Reply)
The dancing games are hilarious. And the ones using the Wii board too.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:09, Reply)
since one of my friends is obsessed with it and has completed it on hard, so as soon as the guitars come out he's straight on there and then it's not fun.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:07, Reply)
Or get him drunk. One of my friends is bloody brilliant at drumming on Rock Band. Another can actually, properly sing. And several of us are great at the guitar parts but cannot drum or sing. A spot of drunken musical chairs and you have yourself some great entertainment
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:14, Reply)
we have three guitars, but he always wins by a huge margin so it's not really fun for anyone else as there's no competition.

Like a cross between Robotron, Smash TV and Tempest, on meth.

School: Loads of time to play games, no money to buy them
Uni: A bit of time to play them, bit more money
Work: Absolutely no spare time, money falling out of my ears
I miss computer games :( Last one I really got into was Sins of a Solar Empire
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:36, Reply)
I have now tons of games at home, to be played when I have time.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:52, Reply)
when you retire. Of course that will be at the age of 90 by the way things are going.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:58, Reply)
And will probably have to look after the grandkids.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:10, Reply)
and instead of the wiimotes they'll have full body suits.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:45, Reply)
like decorating the hallway, getting cheaper car insurance and procreating. I'd rather shoot zombies though.

If I played computer games I'd never get any human contact.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:09, Reply)
personally I can't wait until the matrix style plug into the back of the head technology exists.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:17, Reply)
It's all kinds of old so will run even on a pretty crap PC, but it's brilliant.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:36, Reply)
...you can play it on a Wii.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:02, Reply)
I'm sure you've played something. Tetris maybe? Super Mario? The invaders (I think that's the name in English)?
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:53, Reply)
You should try the Wii. I'm sure you'll love it. Next time you come home I'll force you into it.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:11, Reply)
Burnout 3: Takedown, Crimson Skies, Timesplitters 2, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay on the old Xbox.
Formula 1 2006 every grand prix weekend to learn the track again on the PS2.
Chessmaster 12 and Sims 3 World Adventures on the PC.
Nintendogs labrador on the DS.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:38, Reply)
I loved Zelda. I got so upset when I finished.
I played Nintendogs for months. I hated it, but couldn't bring myself to let the dog die. I should have done.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:54, Reply)
and got bored the other day so I started it again. Wind Waker is still my favourite, possibly my favourite ever game.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:57, Reply)
The Ocarine of Time.
The hourglass for the DS and the next one are both very good.

How could I forget that? I want the second one... *off to ebay*
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:03, Reply)
and I love the DS ones. I got Spirit Tracks for my birthday and completed it within a week

MW:2 (Xbox)
Football Manager (PC)
FIFA (Xbox)
Then a mixture of *ahem* Travian, Just Cause 2, Empire Total War, and soon to be Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Deluxe.
So many games, so little time...
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:44, Reply)
I enjoyed God of War 3, apart from the excruciating "OMG IT'S A SEX RHYTHM GAME" bit.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:46, Reply)
Is after the initial amazement and freedom.. I'm kind of left wondering if there's much else to be destroyed other than a few statues and water tankers...
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:48, Reply)
Although you may have a point. But I still like it, even though the accents are cack.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:53, Reply)
Saying that, what else are video games for, if not para-dropping into an army base, machine gunning 20 guys, nicking a helicopter, using the rockets to destroy the remainder of the base, ejecting from the about-to-explode chopper, using the grapple hook to hook onto and hijack ANOTHER chopper in mid-air, and escaping.
Insane explosion-o-thon
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:57, Reply)
especially the "Dark Carnival" levels. Puching zombie clowns to honk their noses and then blowing their heads off with a shotgun...what's not to like?
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:51, Reply)
Again. There is something wrong with me, everytime I find a new mod I have to play the whole thing again.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:51, Reply)
I've got the second one on the PC but it's terribly bug-ridden. I'll post it to you if you're interested - it might be playable with downloaded updates.

but thank you very much for the offer!

Don't bother with FFIII. I hate it with passion.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:57, Reply)
although having played FF12 on the PS2 I think I'm spoiled for FF games now.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:58, Reply)
When it's not anymore about strategy, just being stupidly fast with the controlers, I can't do it.
I was expecting a FFX or VII, which I loved. I'm so tempted to buy a PS, but I don't have time to play.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:01, Reply)
I've never been so scared with a game. It was good fun.

was just released on PC. I love stylish little puzzle games. It looks great!
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:12, Reply)
On your PC? It's very good. And the Lucas Arts Indiana Jones (not the last one, though, that one was awful)
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:14, Reply)
