Sunday Sunday, Afternoon Funday.
What you up to then?

Wife is finishing up some marking then we might go for a drive somewhere, if the rain keeps off.
If not we'll have a cup of tea and some cake.

The high life indeed.

I was up at 6am to go to the gym but didn't go.
I took the dogs for a walk and then spring cleaned the house. Off to the gym in an hour or two.
(, Sun 9 May 2010, 12:52, Reply)
currently laundering
Then when I have a clean gym top and some clean gym socks (and dry!) I shall be going to the gym and seeing how much of Leicester v Cardiff I can watch while running on the treadmill.

Launderette, ironing, tidying
All caused by playing CivIV all day yesterday. I'm such a waster.

Afternoon, ghost shift.

did you get the cider thing sorted then?

(, Sun 9 May 2010, 16:51, Reply)
Yes, by not drinking cider.
I've still got symptoms but couldn't resist a few pints last night for my chum's birthday. It was worth it.
(, Sun 9 May 2010, 17:44, Reply)
Just back from camp.
Twenty highly excited cubs - first camp for about half of them. First night away from home for a few. So woken both nights by wimpering boys blubbering about wanting to go home. The first-time-away-from-Mummy girl cub was having a great time though.
So I've unpacked and got my filthy clothes in the washer, and I'm heading for the shower myself. Then pizza and a fav dvd.
Great weekend but now I'm completely cattled.
(, Sun 9 May 2010, 17:41, Reply)
Aww cubs!
As an owl, I haven't had the girls go away yet because we don't have the camp license for the pack. :(

Any midges?
(, Sun 9 May 2010, 18:42, Reply)
fantastic time
most beautiful place I've been. Nice people too. Got back to Exeter and went into Sainsburys and was overwhelmed by the number of people in there.

Not too many midges. Insects love to eat me though, so I got a few bites anyway.

Splendid,
Perhaps the hoards in Saisbury's are stocking up because we don't have a government.

got the ferry from Harris to Skye yesterday at about 11
landed at 1:30, drove to south of Glasgow which took till about 6. Left at 8 this morning and got home at about quarter to 4.

Didn't feel anywhere near as long. My car has gone up in my esteem in the comfort stakes. Used about a tank less of fuel than we expected too.

Thanks for the congrats :-)

It's nice how pleased everyone is. Our parents are deliriously happy.
(, Sun 9 May 2010, 18:46, Reply)
Well done, old chap, well done.

I once went into work having shaved my beard off
and our handwriting analyst, whose job consisted of spotting tiny differences between signatures, knew there was something different about me but couldn't tell what it was.

That's how you know you've made an impact on people.

Driving four hundred miles from South Suffolk to Edinburgh
In a car I bought two days ago with a sticking tape player, a misfiring engine and dodgy brakes for company.

Actually, despite the mind-numbing tedium, it went fine...
