Usually I'll insult Grunge in general, state that Nirvana are shit, and only still famous because their singer decided to paint the ceiling in an unorthodox way

I assume the callous attitude towards the manner of Mr Cobain's death gets peoples backs up
But Nirvana were no great shakes. Point any of their fans the way of The Pixies "Dolittle" and watch them get enlightenment

Nah, people don't mind that too much
They try to say how it was a good genre, but I find every track I've ever heard boring.

That goes double for Pearl Jam and the Pixies I'm afraid.

can I recommend you try listening to Of the girl by Pearl Jam?
I wouldn't call the album it is on grunge at all. give it a try.

the album is called Binaural
used some interesting recording technique, and on the whole it's quite different to their other stuff.
