UToL makes a good point
unless someone really fucking good played Monsters of Rock that year
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:09, 3 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
i went to see Queensryche
but I believe AC/DC and Motorhead played.

Lemmy cannot sing,
I can't be the only person that's noticed that?
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:18, Reply)
No, you're not
but it's not the point. Kurt Cobain couldn't sing either
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:22, Reply)
Kurt could sing, I'm not suggesting he was classically trained or owt
but christ Lemmy is just growling.
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:24, Reply)
True
But it goes with their bass-driven filthy sound. They'd sound crap, and considerably less distinctive, with an actual singer
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:25, Reply)
that is true
it's part of their charm

at least he can growl in tune
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:33, Reply)

from that rent boy before you can shake it furiously.
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 16:10, Reply)
I am absolutely pissing myself here
and not just because someone else is getting called a bumder. Good work, ma'am

The Hives
-poses-
-freezes-
-plays in unison-
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:39, Reply)
I love The Hives!!
When I first saw them they said "and here's another song from the album that you all will have bought" and "I dedicate this song to.....me!"

And they paused near the end of a song while the singer climbed up onto the drum stage, taking ages about it, just so he could jump off and they could all play the final chord. It was awesome.
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:56, Reply)
They're hilarious
Didn't buy their last album though. Second album (Your New Favourite Band) is awesome, Tyrannosaurus Hives has its moments but I just didn't fall in love with the new stuff...
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 16:01, Reply)
I've only got YNFB
I haven't heard the rest, except for Tick Tick Boom which was ok.
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 16:05, Reply)
Mine was Reef
with A and Feeder.

Reef were awesome. So good in fact that I never listened to their albums again.
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 16:20, Reply)

+couldn't write a song

+could use a shotgun though (fair dues)

91 would've been a good year to see Metallica
(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:14, Reply)
Or Gn'R

(, Thu 1 Jul 2010, 15:17, Reply)
