SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION/DESPERATION
Hello folks.

Any of you who reside in or around the nation's capital are cordially invited to swinging *cough* Dalston this coming Friday evening for a night of musical delights spanning the entire history of rock music, from its inception in the 1950s right through to the present day - that's right, 1978 - touching on rock'n'roll, 60s r'n'b/garage, psychedelia, 70s heavy rock and punk, selected from my cavernous vinyl vaults. I shall also throw in FREE some obscure funk numbers for those who like to dance.

I'm on at the newly-taken-over Brewery Tap, 525 Kingsland Rd between 11pm and 3am, entry is entirely free to this intimate *coughs up an entire lung* venue, pretty much opposite the new station, or a few stops up from style mecca *dies from emphysema* Shoreditch.

I should be both flattered and honoured should anyone have the inclination to attend.

MESSAGE ENDS.

oddly I will be in London that very evening
it might be too cool for me to attend, though
(, Tue 6 Jul 2010, 20:54, Reply)
It's a bar with music on, not some kind of awful fashion gauntlet-running exercise.
You are warmly welcome.

I would love to but I've got to go to nottingham saturday morning.

(, Tue 6 Jul 2010, 20:54, Reply)

so I'll keep you informed in the hope you can make it to one of them.

See you in October though.

Bloody fuel prices, eh?
Next time I visit my dad's in Williamsburg I'll do a show over there for you. OK?

(, Tue 6 Jul 2010, 22:28, Reply)
If you like
I'll play 'Donald Where's Your Troosers?', and 'Live & Let Die' for you.
(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 8:41, Reply)
Best of luck with this.
Should make a pleasant change from entertaining the fashion benders, cock necks and fuck nuggets.

Ta

(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 8:41, Reply)
Are you likely to play anything by The Stranglers?

(, Tue 6 Jul 2010, 22:58, Reply)
I don't like them, sorry, no.

(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 8:42, Reply)
Right then. You see that big, ugly, aggressive looking bouncer over there? I'm gonna tell him that you said that his Mum is gay.

(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 9:06, Reply)
That's my brother.
Our mum is gay and has lived with her 'partner' for years, so he's not hugely surprised by this revelation.
(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 9:14, Reply)
Bah!
How about summat by Be Bop Deluxe or "Who You Looking At?" by The Salford Jets? Aww go on.
(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 9:44, Reply)
Well, many thanks for the invitation
Unfortunately I fear I may not make it as another friend has already asked me to come and celebrate his birthday in the similarly hip and happening *hawks* Canary Wharf this Friday evening. (I fear I may also be stumped by the challenge of getting back to Collier's "fucking" Wood at that hour.)
(, Wed 7 Jul 2010, 10:23, Reply)
Not this time, I'm afraid.
Might be able to make an entirely-theoretical future one though.

Maybe.
