I spent some of last evening wandering around the city centre looking for massive toads with my mum and daughter.
My mum is seventy five and has some trouble with her hips, so she's fucking dropped the next time we do this. There's no room for sentiment in the cut and thrust world of seeking out massive toads.

Are you a witch?

It's all Philip Larkin's fault.

Jabberwocky and some of the stuff in the Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy is about it.

then I have some poetry!
I have some Milton rattling around one of my bookcases as well but it's so far down the "to read" list it might as well not be there

When I lived in the countryside I hated having to drive after it had been raining heavily
because there would be frogs all over the road and I'd have to swerve all over the place like a drink driver to try and avoid them.
