VPN = very pronounced nipple.
WIFI = would indeed fuck it.

VPN= Virtual private network
WiFi: Wireless network (it's a name not a abbreviation)
SMTP: Simple Mail Transfer Protocol

And it is wrong but 85% of people in IT know fuck all about what they're doing so it's not uncommon.

Never really needed to have much to do with SMTP, but still not good.

Yeah', you want to bid for the 5ghz spectrum, it's up for sale at the moment, and is going to be The Next Big Thing in mobile comunications in the US.
Unless B.T buy it, they're fucked, it would make wired comunication defunct.
