I go from being a very good girl one day to eating like a pig the next one (proper pig: croissant+another pasty for breakfast, 2 bananas, fruit all day, some chichen and mashed potatoes thing for lunch, 1 big bag of peanut M&Ms, half a quiche, some salad with more chicken and cous-cous and crisps)
I'm never going to be slim for January.

But I'm not a whale. I rather be as fat as I'm at the moment than smoking.

however if you smoke enough you might lose a lung which I reckon weighs a few pounds!

Some days I'm fine, other days I have no idea why but I can't seem to stop eating
(, Thu 19 Aug 2010, 14:04, Reply)
It's like if something was burning inside me and I had to eat and eat, non stop.

I've tried just having fruit/ low calorie things around, but it doesn't really work.

It's like a craving for carbs and fats. And salt.
I hate those days. I'm ok today, but yesterday was awful.

but planning meals (like they seem to demand in diet books) makes me want to tear my eyes out

It's a piece of piss. Forget the diet books.
Eat a balanced diet, and eat less than you would normally. You'll feel hungry but once you get used to it, you'll find it OK.

do a big deal one to lose a decent amount thanks to dumbass thyroid issues. Currently the gym is my friend

and I'd rather be fat than do that.

that smells so good taste so foul.

coffee is brilliant. Although I toyed with the idea of switching to decaf and Wiggy said "you know people don't drink coffee for the taste right?"

But if I have a work day without coffee, I get splitting headaches. Oddly doesn't effect me on weekends though.

I'm with Bobby: smells good, tastes awful.
When I need a coffee I follow carefully this recipe to avoid dissapointments:
Pick a big mug. Put 1 finger (horizontally) of coffee, add milk, heat, add 6 full tea-spoons of sugar. It's just about drinkable.
(, Thu 19 Aug 2010, 14:29, Reply)
in to a mug of good quality hot chocolate. It's drinkable that way, too.

I used to love Ale when I first started drinking then I discovered cider and never went back.

they suggest stop drinking beer. I can't stop drinking beer. Beer is gooooood
(, Thu 19 Aug 2010, 14:13, Reply)
if I stop eating and do lots of exercise, I could still have beer and get thin.
(, Thu 19 Aug 2010, 14:27, Reply)
but I don't think I'd want to take the risk of dying. Also harder to source than you might think
(, Thu 19 Aug 2010, 15:16, Reply)
I did it for a while, but I don't have the time or patience to do it. Counting every single thing to make sure you prepare it right and you're not eating too much.
