All that stuff up there was a bit cramped.
How are Gilbert and George?
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 21:10, 1 reply, 16 years ago)
I'm a little worried as George hasn't turned up for dinner yet.

Pippin 2 went missing and eventually turned up dragging her back legs.
She'd been hit by a car and has a fractured pelvis so she's currently glaing at me from a cage.

*fingers crossed*
Off to bed to read now.

I'm re-reading "Dog Soldiers" by Robert Stone at the moment and I'm avoiding bed as it gives me nightmares.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 21:33, Reply)
I take it it's good if you're ree-reading it?
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 21:35, Reply)
I watched the film assuming it was based on the book but it's not.
I don't like recommending literature because we all have different tastes but if you like a thought provoking read Robert Stone is yer man.
The film "Leaving Las Vegas" was very loosely based around Stones' "Hall of Mirrors" although that was set in New Orleans. One of my ten best ever books.

I used to be here occasionally, but I've been busy.
I'm OK and not a nutter, stalker or meat puppet.
BGB has met me in real life and can confirm at least one of the above.

Hello to you Mr/Mrs/Ms/Other Cowjam.
Evenings on OT used to be quite a vibrant little community, populated by those like me that didn't get the opportunity to post during the day.
Admittedly I very rarely drop by, but the evening thing seems to be completely dead now.

Or, as it's commonly known, eating out at a restaurant.
Evening TD.

Do you want a dalek?
It's a long and unpleasant story but I'm putting a lot of toys and models on e-bay at the moment for my sister's friend.
There's a dalek in there - about 5" high, and probably once had a friction motor.
If you think it's interesting let me know. I've a lot of shit to sift through before I get to look at it properly.

Should have had (I guess) a red dome but it's badly faded.
Quite a good plastic mould.
All the bits that stick out are articulated and still articulate.
Signs of a glue repair on the left hand sticky out thing.
Definately friction motored.
Underside marked "made in Hong Kong" with an inverted 2 where it's arse should be.
Yours if you want it. It'll cost a bit to post safely but gaz me and we'll work it out.

Don't know - I'm sad too because most of the stuff I've been given to sell is die-cast Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox which I DO know the value of.
I've sold most of it - just stuff like the dalek left that I don't know how to price, so I'd rather it went to an appreciative home than an accumulator of crap.

I can't get here at work, which is good cos pace this slow would do my head in but it's ok when I'm watching movies/gaming.

do you just not have time during the day?
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 21:43, Reply)
and don't really want to test it. I suspect it'd be a terrible time sink, and I'm currently very good at what I do.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 21:45, Reply)
And I don't think my passengers would like me to check connectivity on a regular basis.

I'm the only B3TAN currently driving the 15 and 752 in Leeds.
There's got to be some kudos in that...

I used to catch a 1, 93 or 96. Last time I was there they'd fucked about with them and they were called something stupid.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 23:55, Reply)
since work decided to block the site. Which is fair enough really.
