Good thanks. I got a breadmaker
I'm very excited about this, and can't wait to get home and make some bread.

I think I might have to go for an extra long run to justify the amount of bread I'm going to eat this weekend.

I make very very nice cheese and beer bread in my machine
Even nicer when you add some caramelised onions.

Sounds good.
Would it work as a sourdough?

Sourdough = King of breads!
Unfortunately I don't think bread machines are so good at sourdough. The more expensive ones claim to be able to but I've heard it doesn't turn out so good.

Well, they can probably actually cook the bread
but since you need a starter for sourdough it rather defeats the "fill and forget" point of a breadmaker.

Agreed.
Should have pointed out I meant the recipe rather than the cooking method ...

I've long suspected that lemon zest in bread would be ace.
Unfortunately, suspecting it is as far as I've got.
