as long as it isn't The Crown

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:50, 2 replies, latest was 15 years ago)

Surely you mean 'As long as it's not in Hanham'?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:51, Reply)
that as well

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:54, Reply)
The Crown in Longwell?
Help yourself to the salad cart!
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:53, Reply)
I mean the Crown
in the centre of town
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:53, Reply)
St Nicks market Crown?
They have a fantastic jukebox.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:56, Reply)
lots of metal on it

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:56, Reply)
Not a bad thing though
Better Slayer than Steps
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:57, Reply)
well I agree
apart from the Slayer. It just doesn't have that good an atmosphere in there. I've had a few good nights in there, but some awful ones as well
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:59, Reply)
It's a nice pub.*
*I think ALL pubs are nice.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:01, Reply)
As long as I don't have to go anywhere where someone is dressed in Rockport or Ben Sherman
I am happy. If they have metal on the music cabinet even better.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:03, Reply)
My taste has changed as I got a bit older
thus the Crown was fine when I was 16 and wanted to drink somewhere with metal and no ID checks. Now I'd be unlikely to seek it out as my first port of call. It's all vodka at home
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:04, Reply)
that the one down the alleyway?
looks rough but decent beer...
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:57, Reply)
I was rather shitfaced in there, only last night.

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:57, Reply)
Has there ever been a South West bash?

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:58, Reply)
Don't think so...
Only thing I'm aware of is Crackhouse's wedding bash thing in December...
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 14:58, Reply)
It would be worth having a punt at it I reckon. Bristol is prob the ideal location as well.

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:01, Reply)
You've nominated yourself as official bash organiser then...

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:09, Reply)
Shit it.
I will fuck this up now!
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:15, Reply)
there was one in Cornwall
it was good.

A few people came to see my band's first ever gig as well, although I didn't get to speak to them for long.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:01, Reply)
You'd come up to Bristol for a night out wouldn't you?

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:02, Reply)
I'd come down for a Bristol bash
If you held it at Urban Tiger.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:05, Reply)
I'd go if Lab is going
and it wasn't soon, because I'm already fucking skint, saving for wedding, and have had the news that my car needs a new sump and the turbo may be on its way out, in addition to the knackered wheel bearing and the replacement cam belt that already need sorting out.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:07, Reply)
Heavy praise
Sorry to hear about your car woes, I had that the last 3 months (broken in to, 4 new tyres, expensive service and insurance renewal).
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:09, Reply)
it's fucking gash frankly
fortunate that a mate is doing the work, but still, if it's a new turbo, then it's either £600 or 700 or a new car...

not what I need right now. We already decided today that we totally can't afford to go on a grand honeymoon straight after the wedding without totally crippling ourselves for the next couple of years.

and that was before the car news.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:11, Reply)
That is a complete shitter
Never rains but it pours, eh?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:12, Reply)
when you two stop crying onto each others shoulder
mtfu. New year sometime maybe? just an idea but would be cool to do one down here.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:14, Reply)
2011 would be better for me, aye
Srsly though, Urban Tiger, yeah?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:16, Reply)
I'd be up for it definitely

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:17, Reply)
THERE'S A BASH HERE IN DECEMBER!

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:19, Reply)

wooo!
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:20, Reply)
really where?

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:20, Reply)
Bristol Flyer, Glos Rd.

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:25, Reply)
oh you beautiful woman!
I'm in. Can't wait.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:27, Reply)
W00t!

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:30, Reply)
it's going to be a blast
I may need somewhere to stay
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:31, Reply)
I might stay in the hostel above The Lanes
Damn cheap, decent place to stay, central too.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:32, Reply)
I'm intending to convince either Bobby or Colonel Santiago that they want to give me a bed
it's that or I bust into my mate's house and annoy him and his mrs
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:33, Reply)
Fine
I'll grab some more b3tans and rent out a room in the hostel.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:36, Reply)
normally I would
but costs must be minimised!
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:38, Reply)
umm is that my phone
*dashes off*

nah you can stay at mine if you need to.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:33, Reply)
seeing as you have asked so nicely ;-)
always nice to have a bit of a smoke with someone new!
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:38, Reply)
yeah, tell me about it
mrs still hasn't heard about her payrise either, and as they are laying people off in other offices it doesn't seem that likely.

Reward for passing one of the hardest exams around = fuck all, except getting more and harder work and responsibility, while still be chronically underpaid compared to the rest of her peers.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:16, Reply)
That is a travesty
Any chance of her getting a job somewhere that pays what she deserves?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:18, Reply)
unfortunately not.
at the moment anyway.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:21, Reply)
GASH

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:23, Reply)
yeah, big time

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 15:25, Reply)
