I gave up on my 100 pressups and 200 situps challenges
I keep meaning to restart them, but meh, effort.

I got to week 3
my mrs bought one of those things that aid you in doing situps too. (ab-cruncher?) and it has mostly sat under the bed....

Week 3 for me too
It started to get really hard, so I caved.
Might restart it and see about looping week 3 until I can carry on.
No pain no gain, right?

My stomach is well aching today after doing the plank in pole class yesterday
and one of my students held it for ages so I had to hold it longer because it doesn't look very good if the teacher collapses after thirty seconds, wheezing and crying.

my personal trainer
makes me do it on the power plate for added pain. ouch.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:37, Reply)
I never dared try the power plate when I used to go to the gym
I didn't know how to work it and I didn't want everyone staring. The few times I have seen people on it, they get into the strangest positions!
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:43, Reply)
they're great
but only if you mix them with all the other stuff. you do see some muppets just sitting on them, expecting miracles. just switch them on and stand on your tiptoes, that's your calves done. but don't expect to be able to walk for the next 24 hours!

my colleague goes to a keep-fit class on powerplates, she says it's murder. and she does that 6am army training on clapham common, so she's pretty fit!

I could never do that bootcamp style fitness
I hate being shouted at and it doesn't motivate me.

I only like fun exercise like trampolining and dancing. I find Pilates and Yoga really good for relaxing rather than working out.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:56, Reply)
yeah
I could do with doing that too.

the stupid thing is it only takes about 5 minutes every couple of days and I still don't manage to find the time.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:37, Reply)
I know what you mean
It's too easy to forget, I need to set aside some time to do it.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:43, Reply)
yeah
if I could drag myself out of bed before the very last moment in the mornings I'd try and do it then.

I haven't been swimming in months either.

I hate them, the big metal thing that looks like of like a roll cage?
I find it much easier doing them on my own.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:35, Reply)
yeah, those things
I find it alright. my stomach muscles are shit though. too much time spent lurking under loads of flab
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:42, Reply)
I hate being a girl, I have stupid stomach and hip padding
which is completely unnecessary until I want a baby. My stomach is really strong so it should be a six pack, but it's hidden under my squidgy bits.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 10:58, Reply)
My female friend, who pole dances, has a six pack.
Your move.
