A good sandwich needs meat
unless it's brie and cranberry with rocket.

Sausage or bacon?
What is the perfect breakfast sarnie?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:16, Reply)
Tiger bread, lurpak, smoked streaky bacon and a fried egg plus reggae reggae sauce

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:18, Reply)
I'm not a fan of streaky bacon.
Way too fatty.

Bacon and brown sauce
sometimes with egg and/or mushrooms. I do like sausages but usually I'll go for bacon every time.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:18, Reply)
Mmmmmmmm mushrooms

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:20, Reply)
What bread
And smoked or unsmoked bacon.

Also, HP or tomato sauce?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:21, Reply)
Tomato sauce is heresy
and has no place on anything bar burgers, hotdogs and chips (although mayo is best with the latter). Brown sauce is the sauce of kings.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:25, Reply)
HP
ROCKS

Although I do quite like Daddies Sauce, but I never buy it, it has to be HP.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:26, Reply)
HP is what I've always bought
I presume Daddies is exactly the same stuff with a different name?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:28, Reply)
No, quite different, but it still has a nice 'bite' to it.

(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 0:05, Reply)
Sausage and egg
I've tried them all over the years and that's the one I settled on.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:20, Reply)
Sauce?

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:22, Reply)
I lean towards Tomato sauce
But I would accept Brown.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:37, Reply)
Of course, when I say Brown
I'm not talking HP or Daddies.

I'm a "Wilkins and Sons" man.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:42, Reply)
^totally right
a good sandwich needs meat. Almost without exception
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:31, Reply)
Ideally two types of meat
As a minimum.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:38, Reply)
this I agree with
meat = best of all the foods
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:40, Reply)
I generally enjoy the
Ham, pepperoni and salami triple, acting as a good basis for a sandwich.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:43, Reply)
so you're saying
you love a good sausage fest?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:51, Reply)
My ex-flatmate used to buy spicy Italian sausage for dinner
For some reason he didn't appreciate the jokes about loving hot Italian sausage. Something to do with his girlfriend or something.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:53, Reply)
