That last thread is a bit long.
What do you think?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:45, 126 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I think it was too
Now watching The Descent. It's just the pot-holing scenes and I'm already on edge.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:48, Reply)
Very jumpy film. Good luck.

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:49, Reply)
Seen it a long time ago
Brilliant film. No fucking way I'd go crawling about underground.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:51, Reply)
Apart from getting stuck I wouldn't fancy fighting those trolls

I agree
Are you watching motd . Utter madness
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:48, Reply)
I am watching MOTD
You know the first sign of madness don't you?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:50, Reply)
It's not the first sign I'm worried about. It's the last, conclusive one.

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:52, Reply)
The last one would be Chas Smash
You aren't following this are you?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:52, Reply)
Not a clue?

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:53, Reply)
The first sign of Madness is Suggs walking up your drive-way.

I knew putting a scope and laser dot on my air rifle would come in handy
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:55, Reply)
Racist
The only reason snipers have those lasers is to make all their victims look like they're sporting a bindi.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:59, Reply)
Dammit
wolves finished off Man City and I missed it. Plus my French zombie movie is just heating up.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:01, Reply)
I agree
also there was not enough discussion of football or French zombie movies.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 22:59, Reply)
Cracking result for Wolves today.

Tiny bit too long
third episode of the American Food Revolution now
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:10, Reply)
I watched them all when they were shown on Channel 4 a month or so back.

the only thing that annoys me
is Jamie addressing everyone as 'bruvva' and saying things like 'yo' to try and get down with the kids

The size of some of those Americans though.
At what point do you have a word with yourself without some Brit come over and saying, 'you know what? You need to eat a bit better'.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:17, Reply)
apart from the size
and the general food, the bit that shocked me the most was the realisation most of them couldn't use a standard knife and fork
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:30, Reply)
I think it is
however if you lot start talking about football I'm going to flounce.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:10, Reply)
What is your all-time favourite sandwich berk?
Not only is this NOT about football, neither do I take the piss buy mentioning 'Hot-bloke' in any way, shape or form.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:12, Reply)
A good sandwich needs meat
unless it's brie and cranberry with rocket.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:14, Reply)
Sausage or bacon?
What is the perfect breakfast sarnie?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:16, Reply)
Tiger bread, lurpak, smoked streaky bacon and a fried egg plus reggae reggae sauce

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:18, Reply)
I'm not a fan of streaky bacon.
Way too fatty.

(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 0:02, Reply)
Bacon and brown sauce
sometimes with egg and/or mushrooms. I do like sausages but usually I'll go for bacon every time.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:18, Reply)
Mmmmmmmm mushrooms

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:20, Reply)
What bread
And smoked or unsmoked bacon.

Also, HP or tomato sauce?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:21, Reply)
Tomato sauce is heresy
and has no place on anything bar burgers, hotdogs and chips (although mayo is best with the latter). Brown sauce is the sauce of kings.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:25, Reply)
HP
ROCKS

Although I do quite like Daddies Sauce, but I never buy it, it has to be HP.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:26, Reply)
HP is what I've always bought
I presume Daddies is exactly the same stuff with a different name?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:28, Reply)
No, quite different, but it still has a nice 'bite' to it.

(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 0:05, Reply)
Sausage and egg
I've tried them all over the years and that's the one I settled on.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:20, Reply)
Sauce?

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:22, Reply)
I lean towards Tomato sauce
But I would accept Brown.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:37, Reply)
Of course, when I say Brown
I'm not talking HP or Daddies.

I'm a "Wilkins and Sons" man.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:42, Reply)
^totally right
a good sandwich needs meat. Almost without exception
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:31, Reply)
Ideally two types of meat
As a minimum.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:38, Reply)
this I agree with
meat = best of all the foods
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:40, Reply)
I generally enjoy the
Ham, pepperoni and salami triple, acting as a good basis for a sandwich.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:43, Reply)
so you're saying
you love a good sausage fest?
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:51, Reply)
My ex-flatmate used to buy spicy Italian sausage for dinner
For some reason he didn't appreciate the jokes about loving hot Italian sausage. Something to do with his girlfriend or something.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:53, Reply)

I think it's funny when people forget that the clocks change
Although it's less fun at this time of year, because people just turn up an hour early for things.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:26, Reply)
Do I get an hour extra in bed
Or do I wake up earlier this time?
(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 0:02, Reply)
spring forward fall back
so at 2am it becomes 1am again. So in other words you can go to bed at 00:30 and get up at 07:30 and have slept 8 hours.
(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 0:15, Reply)
Or in my case, I'm reading the right time.
I've got no idea how to adjust my watch, so I've been an hour out for months.

It'll be sorted in the morning though!

Is it usually this busy here

Nah, it's usually pretty quiet due to people having social lives

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:36, Reply)
besides isn't Halloween tomorrow?

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:40, Reply)
You are correct
But I imagine since folk have jobs, they'll be partying tonight rather than tomorrow night.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:43, Reply)
nope
not necessarily. why have a hangover on your own time, might as well get paid for it.

babysitting is not conducive to a great party night!

Although I have opened a second bottle.

And won $30 at online poker.
(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:43, Reply)

i have spent the evening looking after my friend, her baby and a budgie. this is more responsibility than i normally have in a decade.

the baby and the budgie were not at all sure about one another.

Your friends need looked after?

(, Sat 30 Oct 2010, 23:49, Reply)
