If you talk to people about the specifics of legislation like the health bill,
they generally agree with things like not being able to kick someone off of his/her insurannce policy becasue they get sick.

The trouble is that the growing TV driven non-thinking population just watches right wing propaganda and votes they way they are told all the while parroting the bullshit they are fed. once people start to think a little.....

The right wing is very good at propaganda and verl little else except ennriching their already rich owners and putting the whole world in danger.

I meant to mention this the other day in the wake of those bombs being found on cargo planes and proposals to increase security measures.

My view is this: no cargo planes have thus far been blown up by terrorists. Bombs have been found and disarmed. This leads me to think that the security measures as they are are just fine.

Ignoring the view that terrorism is the least of our worries at the moment.

You could just take the view that
the point of terrorism is to disrupt your life to make you change your ways to fit the terrorists ideal. So if you intentionally disrupt your life by adding more and more security so your way of life becomes untenable, you've played right into the terrorists hands.

Yes but the bombs weren't found because of security measures
they were found because a guy handed himself into the Saudis and they offered him a deal.
The bombs got on the planes undetected.

There is aparenlty a big debate amongst some evangelicals as to whether or not
they will ascend into heaven with or without their clothes when the rapture comes. (They believe their bodies will be physically lifted into heaven and some are really concerned they will be naked as clothes are human and only god's pure people will be allowed into heaven.)

And these guys have access to nuclear weapons!! Why are we worried about North Korea and Iran?
