How far are you from some wine?

I went to Tesco
but didn't think of it. I'm about five minutes walk from some wine

I am having a guilt-free loafing night
I have been sooooo tired, Amberl!
I have had fun too but even that's been tiring. I'm so happy to be home with wine and takeaway that I DID NOT HAVE TO COOK!
How you doing?

That sounds like an ace night
the babylooking after sounded incredibly tiring.
I'm still pretty tired from last night, but good thanks. Apart from the being blonde moments!

Did you get roped into Brighton or were you good?
I didn't even do any middle-of-the-night baby shifts, but as well as a full time job and all my other sheeit it got me well tired.
He is a joy though.

nope
but couldn't find my bus back (doesn't go from the coach station) so me and my brother wandered around for about an hour. Feet are killing me now. I've agreed to try and make it down for his 21st though I have no idea why he'd want me there!
Is it making you broody, or proving why you never want kids? The mum must be really happy to have some help though

I've always loved kids
I used to think that meant I'd want to have one. But I'm not a cavewoman and I have been able to ignore the biological urges thus far.
There are too many fears and worries and changes to lifestyle that I don't think I'll ever bother confronting. There's time for me or dj to change our minds but it looks unlikely. Looking after babies is simple. Rearing someone from child to adult is another task entirely.

I've never had those urges.
I think I'm broken.

I've never had them either
but then I'm a realist

You're only young so they might kick in yet.
I think if I'd have been with someone long time who wanted kids then I might have been persuaded.
(
girlinthehole, Wed 3 Nov 2010, 19:59,

I doubt it
I have a large family so I know what babies/children are like. I also know full right and well that I could never offer the same care and sacrifices that my mum did for me. Plus the whole revolted by pregnancy thing

Realist in what sense?
(
Roota zweeeeeoooooowm, Wed 3 Nov 2010, 20:00,

I'm not maternal
loads of female friends are already saying they can't wait to have children, or complaining of baby urges. Plus I have very specific career ideals and ambitions that don't mix with children, and I'm deadset on them
(
Amberl was stripey and dominated Europe, Wed 3 Nov 2010, 20:03,

Not being maternal isn't the realist bit. Your opinions and decisions are.
In a way I'm more of a realist because I have those hormonal urges but allow my life choices to give me the strength to ignore them.
(
Roota zweeeeeoooooowm, Wed 3 Nov 2010, 20:04,
Reply)
That is realistic
Also I'm quite selfish. I'd never want to have a child and then deny it what it should have because I cared more for something else

They're rubbish those urges.
They make you get physical pangs when you hold a baby and they make you sniff babies' heads.

do you know what is absolutely shocking?
I bought 2 for £7 wine which was First Cape stuff. Drank it back with a friend and it tasted like fruit juice. It was 5.5% volume which was not advertised on the front- it just looked like their normal Cape Wine stuff

Bastards.
If you have an Asda nearby go there. 3 for £10, several £5 - £7-odd bottles of proper stuff.
Also, Morrisons are doing half price Baileys this week, £9 something.

two Sainsburys, and in the last month a Tesco metro has opened up nearby.

But once I had a rat. I tried to catch it in a humane trap by offering it sandwiches, but it kept eating them and getting away.
Eventually found it dead after it drowned in a small box of water :(
