Arrrrr - people
About a year ago I foolishly let a friend's daughter keep her car in my drive 'cos her tax had run out and she didn't have anywhere to keep it off road. It was only for a few a few weeks until she sorted herself out and got it taxed.
That was in March.
It's now November.
The agent for the house I'm currently renting has told me that the landlord has remarked to her that he doesn't want his houses being used as a scrap metal merchants.
I mentioned this to her/her father and they simply keep saying, "yeah, we'll move it at the weekend". That was 2 months ago.
I've just seen a comment on her facebook page that says "Fuk off, go to moanaboutthecaronthedrive.com".

So my question is:

Do I simply phone the scrappy and have them come and get it,
Wait for this magical weekend when they come and collect it.
or
Push it out in the street (they have the key so can't drive it) and set fire to it?

I think you've been patient enough
I'd tell them that you're giving them 2 weeks to sort it out or you're pushing it out on the road (don't set fire to it) and just leave it there.

the
bastard steering lock is on, and they have the bloody key.

I could get a trolley jack and drag it out in the road.

Exactly that

They sound like Pikeys
What did you expect from pikeys
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 8:36, Reply)
Sublet the car to a family of pikeys.
This won't help anyone, but I'll feel good about it.

Two days.
Tell them landlord has told you to move it or he's chucking you out.
So they move it or it goes on the street and is pohoned in as abandoned then they get the bill for the police towing it and a fine.

use it for a ram raid

Give the council a call, they may come and remove it for you

Is the daughter attractive?
If yes, I suggest you 'come to some sort of arrangement' if you get my drift.

When all answers are in
Pick the one you like best and quote it on her facebook page as being the reply you got from moanaboutthecaronthedrive.com
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:08, Reply)

Like it! I think I might just to that.
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:16, Reply)
The people are the problem not the car. Push them onto the street and set fire to them.

The Bastards!

Scrappy
I got £200 for my car when I drove it to the scrappys. You'll be at least £100 up and you can keep that calling it ground rent. :)
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:31, Reply)
Yeah
He was alright then; now he's become a pikey.
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:34, Reply)
Cunt.
Get the car scrapped and then go to his house and set it on fire? :) Fireworks through the letterbox are particularly effective, I've heard...
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:37, Reply)
Sadly
he's the boyfriend of my sister...and she's done nothing wrong.
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:43, Reply)
Ultimatum
Organise for the car to be picked up by a local scrap yard in 2 weeks time and get written confirmation. Show this piece of crap that you have done this. Your sister has done wrong by allowing this to continue. It may be worth having a word with her?
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:47, Reply)
'Phone scrappy time.
FB status; "Car gone! Even found a twenty under the seat!"
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 9:47, Reply)
At the very least, you should register moanaboutthecaronthedrive.com
And do something with it.
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 10:20, Reply)
I
was thinking the same.
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 10:23, Reply)
I
put the reg into webuyanycar.com, and guess what?

They wouldn't buy it. I don't know why they just don't phone the scrappy and get it over with to be honest. The car is worthless.

Of course, they did try flogging it to me for 300 quid which is pretty nice of them when you consider I've had it on my property for the best part of a year and they owe me 450 quid.
