I hate it when that happens.
I then have to get out of it without damaging it. GUTTING.

Exactly this!
There is a zip on the side I didn't notice, but can't get undone now the dress is on. I don't want to rip it because it's quite a good make
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:30, Reply)
It can't be that good a make if you've got stuck in it.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:33, Reply)
it's my own fault
looking on the internet it informs me that a size Large in this dress/make is the equivalant of a UK 10. Hardly surprising I'm stuck
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)
I know nothing about clothes sizes
But that sounds overly small to be a large.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:37, Reply)
fucking French
The ebay listing was as a large (which the dress is labelled as) but also as a 12 so I thought I'd be fine. A quick look tells me that 10 is closer on average, so the seller must be a small 12 as opposed to a large 12 like me

Looks like it should be in a museum.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:57, Reply)
OK
that is pretty cool. How hard could it be to make one like it, though?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:56, Reply)
It's embroidered with gold thread and crystals

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:57, Reply)
you could machine embroider with
normal gold cotton, maybe?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:58, Reply)
No idea how to :/

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:00, Reply)
you need a sewing machine
which you can drop the feed dog on and an embroidery foot. Then put material in embroidery loop.

This implies I know more than I do, My ambition always outdoes my abilities
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:03, Reply)
Very hard.
He is very good at tailored clothing just like Viv Westwood.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:00, Reply)
I'm not really a label freak but I would sell my soul to wear something of hers.

well a quick browse revealed

I like that top.
Is XXlarge a size 14 or something?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:15, Reply)
large is a 14
xlarge is a 16. Vivienne Westwood is good on sizes.

Personally if I was a millionaire and a size 6 I would live in Roland Mouret
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:18, Reply)
I'm at least an 18 : (

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:19, Reply)
they have it in xxl
which is an 18. The only size sold out is the 16.

I mean obviously you're sure of your own size, but still- are you sure? You didn't look anything close to that when we met. I know you're a lot taller than me (don't rub it in :( ) which ups the size, but in general width etc, not an 18 at all
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:22, Reply)
I'm not very fat but I'm built like a brick shithouse.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:37, Reply)
I'm not sure what designers I like
I don't like Herve Ledgewhatever but I think I love Alexander McQueen now.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:02, Reply)
Designer is not a big thing for me
nor fashion in general. I'm not cool enough :) But Vivienne Westwood, Armani and a few others do turn me into a label queen where I just lust after everything they make

Edit: Hervé Léger is probably the person you mean
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:05, Reply)
join the club :(
Apart from several things online, I saw the best camel coat ever in Jigsaw, and a tweed dress in Reiss that I just want
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:54, Reply)
This is Alexander McQueen

I've realised sponge fingers are a collossal mistake. You just can't have one. Or two. Or 5. Or a whole pack.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:58, Reply)
I just stuffed my face
so don't feel bad. Sandwiches, a chocolate eclair then a packet of crisps along with lots of diet coke
