I have to get this off my chest.
Dunlop Green Flash is a classic sneaker.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:12, 120 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Do you not think that Blue Flash was a bit more exclusive?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:13, Reply)
I concurr.
Adidas shell toes are a favorite of mine but I've only got the one pair.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:13, Reply)
You cannot go wrong with a pair of shell toes.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:19, Reply)
So good you said it thrice.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:20, Reply)
Yeah, I had a tidy up now though.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:21, Reply)
Yeah! I used to live near a guy who would wear his trainers till they looked slightly used and then give them away.
Luckily he was the same size as me so I got a lovely pair of white Adidas shell toes. Some other ones that I've worn out now as well.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:25, Reply)
I'm not a fan of the 'straight out the box' look.
They need to have a bit of wear on them.

You had a good day Blousie? Your dating agency never really went anywhere, did it?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:28, Reply)
It's cos she never compiled a proper list

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:29, Reply)
Maybe she is still running a full analysis of the information?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:31, Reply)
I like them looking used too.
He was a bit gansta. I think that's the look they go for.

Dating agency was just internet banter. There are a couple of people I think would do well together but my lips are sealed.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:31, Reply)
Well at least give Amberl an answer, she seemed most keen.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)
I did.
I said she should go for that badger bloke.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 21:08, Reply)
while it may not be much of an accolade
he's probably the least weird person on here. as far as I can tell anyway
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:37, Reply)
sadly he's not in my age range

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:38, Reply)
He looks attractive on his profile pic and he has brains and humour.
I don't see how it could possibly go wrong : )
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:39, Reply)
you have that attitude down to a fine art my dear ;-)

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:45, Reply)
Hahaha!
I don't count my experiences as anything to go by.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:47, Reply)
Now will you take our advice?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:38, Reply)
What advice?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:39, Reply)
I had a flatmate
who wore his trainers until the soles fell off, so repaired them by tying extra long laces around them to keep them on.

The tight bastard.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)
I've done this with gaffa tape
on doc martens
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:35, Reply)
Flatmate, or cardboard box city mate?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:35, Reply)
Flatmate.
After about a year and a particularly bad winter he gave in and bought some new ones.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:37, Reply)
Not forgetting the lesser known Adidas Camel Toes
which were taken off the market pretty rapidly as everyone who wore them looked like a total cunt.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:31, Reply)
Hahaha!
You at home?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:32, Reply)
Yup.
I'm about to go and wash last night's dishes, but the missus is couch bound with a dodgy neck :(
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:33, Reply)
Aw! how she do that.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:35, Reply)
No idea, just woke up on Friday with it.
Couldn't move on Saturday; it's easing a bit now though. Could be a spasm of some kind.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:36, Reply)
Give her a big hug from Blousie.
And cop a feel for me too.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:37, Reply)
I shall.
Right, these dishes won't wash themselves, unfortunately...
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:38, Reply)
hahahaha

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)
I don't own any sneakers
I'm not street enough
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:16, Reply)
Not one single pair of trainers?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:19, Reply)

not different by much, I just have one pair of old Nike ones for the gym

She doesn't spill a drop, apparently, and can blow spunk bubbles from her ears.

that's fucking talent right there

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:43, Reply)
It is.
She can also gargle the national anthems of 16 different countries whilst performing downhill racers.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:49, Reply)
Um I just got stuck in a dress :S

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:27, Reply)
Is being 'stuck'
Some sort of euphemism the kids are using these days?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:29, Reply)
I hate it when that happens.
I then have to get out of it without damaging it. GUTTING.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:29, Reply)
Exactly this!
There is a zip on the side I didn't notice, but can't get undone now the dress is on. I don't want to rip it because it's quite a good make
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:30, Reply)
It can't be that good a make if you've got stuck in it.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:33, Reply)
it's my own fault
looking on the internet it informs me that a size Large in this dress/make is the equivalant of a UK 10. Hardly surprising I'm stuck
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)
I know nothing about clothes sizes
But that sounds overly small to be a large.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:37, Reply)
fucking French
The ebay listing was as a large (which the dress is labelled as) but also as a 12 so I thought I'd be fine. A quick look tells me that 10 is closer on average, so the seller must be a small 12 as opposed to a large 12 like me
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:39, Reply)
Redoute?

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:57, Reply)

that is pretty cool. How hard could it be to make one like it, though?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:56, Reply)
It's embroidered with gold thread and crystals

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:57, Reply)
you could machine embroider with
normal gold cotton, maybe?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:58, Reply)
No idea how to :/

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:00, Reply)
you need a sewing machine
which you can drop the feed dog on and an embroidery foot. Then put material in embroidery loop.

This implies I know more than I do, My ambition always outdoes my abilities

well a quick browse revealed
that this would look fantastic on you :) www.net-a-porter.com/product/80166

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:13, Reply)
I like that top.
Is XXlarge a size 14 or something?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:15, Reply)
large is a 14
xlarge is a 16. Vivienne Westwood is good on sizes.

Personally if I was a millionaire and a size 6 I would live in Roland Mouret
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:18, Reply)
I'm at least an 18 : (

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:19, Reply)
they have it in xxl
which is an 18. The only size sold out is the 16.

I mean obviously you're sure of your own size, but still- are you sure? You didn't look anything close to that when we met. I know you're a lot taller than me (don't rub it in :( ) which ups the size, but in general width etc, not an 18 at all
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:22, Reply)
I'm not very fat but I'm built like a brick shithouse.

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:37, Reply)
I'm not sure what designers I like
I don't like Herve Ledgewhatever but I think I love Alexander McQueen now.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:02, Reply)
Designer is not a big thing for me
nor fashion in general. I'm not cool enough :) But Vivienne Westwood, Armani and a few others do turn me into a label queen where I just lust after everything they make

Edit: Hervé Léger is probably the person you mean
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:05, Reply)
join the club :(
Apart from several things online, I saw the best camel coat ever in Jigsaw, and a tweed dress in Reiss that I just want
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:54, Reply)
This is Alexander McQueen

I don't think I was ever cool enough
to know when trainers had proper names. I had nasty white ones in the 80s and some kind of blue skater ones recently until they broke
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:34, Reply)
I use to wear big white basketball trianers at college.
This was after my gothy phase and just before my lezzie phase.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:36, Reply)
so it IS just a phase...

(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:44, Reply)
I said that wrong.
It wasn't really a phase. I just fell for a person who happend to be a women as opposed to a guy.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:45, Reply)
I always tried to get what was omgkewl
now I just get the cheapest name brand, currently on some reebok classics like the true gangstah I am

next will hopefully be nike shox but they cost an arm, leg and your first born, so maybe santa will bring them since I've been a good girl
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:45, Reply)
I never pay full whack for trainers, even for running.
I wait for sales or use discount internet sites and buy them then.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 19:49, Reply)
I have a pair of DVS trainers that have pinstripes and diamantes.
I saw them and had to have them, they are very special indeed.

Thankfully in different colours, as I'm not that particularly autistic. A few adidas classics and that's it.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:35, Reply)
I own no trainers whatsoever
And don't feel that I'm missing much.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 20:46, Reply)

I had some Dunlop hockey boots a while back, they were great, but Green Flash were bent.

Best sneaks of all time were IMHO the Adidas Top Tens or the Puma States, white on red. Them shits was FRESH, yo.

The original thin-tongue Superstars were incredible
I had the low-tops in white with forest green and also with dark red stripes, I still have hi-tops with the dark red. I lost the low-tops in red when I nearly died in Spain on my friend's stag week. I also lost a three hundred quid bracelet and a Diesel watch.

EDIT but I didn't drown, so really I shouldn't grumble.
