Pet Peeves, eh?
My pet peeves are any member of AlBertKaol and the Irish sounding one who flicked her bean once and had 200+ replies from other rubbish people. They also took the piss on the last question of the week, and it is quite clear to me they are trying to take over QOTW and turn it into an actual shite. That sounds impossible, but these people are so shite, they could well do it.
Shitehawks.

Yes indeed,
the whole flick ben= million responses thing made me sad, and indeed highlighted many "shitehawks" for me.
I mean, theres porn all over the internet yet when someone announces (shockingly) "I HAVE A VAGINA" everyone goes "PICTURES LOL" Except in real life they're less obvious parodies of themselves.

You mean CHCB?
Oh, dear.
Lets put it this way, shall we:-
I look for her posts, and the Mighty Triumvirate that is AlBertKaol, rather than search out your posts. I wonder why? Oh yeah, theirs contains HUMOUR, a totally alien concept to you, obviously, if you have to have a whinge about them, and they did not make the last QOTW shite- it already was recycled shite.
I bet you've blocked the Resident Loon & Tourettes, just because they are HUMOUROUS. Get a life, cuntsock.
And as for being a boon to the Board,

^Concur with the above
Use the 'Ignore' button and stop coming across like a tight lipped prissy shitehawk.
The goat shite was, in my humble opinion, a load of bollocks, generated by peeps getting fed up. I personally didn't read much of it, get excited by it, or spit my dummy. I also think that a seperate thread on the QOTW board would be a good ide for those who wish toi dribble without filling the board with ten pages of cack. However, there were some genuinely good stories in there, so lighten the fuck up, and wait for normal service to be resumed.

Dear Purple Jessop
CHCB is a charming, fine-witted, immensely intelligent, highly articulate and utterly fabulous lady. Many of her posts are not only humorous, but thought-provoking - morally / socially / politically / ethically and much more. Personally, I found the post to which you are referring an absolute hoot as well as being on topic. I was sorry to have missed it. The very fact that she invoked so many replies is self-explanatory.
AlBertKaol regularly have me squealing with mirth. I regard them as the b3ta equivalent to the three stooges. Again, all three are highly articulate, quick-witted chaps. They have invented cyber slapstick humour.
If any b3tans aren't your cup of tea, how about simply not reading their posts? Or, even easier option, click ignore?
I must admit the last 10 pages of last week's question were a tad tedious when trying to find particular posts; the majority of that activity might have better undertaken on a thread... However, the question had apparently been exhausted and wasn't changed until much later than usual. So, rather than get my bowels in an uproar, I went to the pub instead.

I'm on PJ's side here
"Hmmm...the QOTW has pretty much been exhausted, so let's just fill the board with spammy shite" isn't really an excuse. And I hate to use the ignore button on people who *do* come out with posts worth reading.
Put simply, here are two examples by Bert from last week's QOTW:
www.b3ta.com/questions/animals/post149629
www.b3ta.com/questions/animals/post148063
The first is an amusing (and hopefully true) story that raised a welcome chuckle from me. The second is just unmitigated shite.
Isn't there a /talk board for that?

opinions are like arseholes
- everyone's got one.
I must say though, that even if others find my random typing wearying or inane, the one thing I have never done and never will do online is single out individuals for slagging or abuse. This is because I have manners.

Is it just me
or does the original post in this thread seem a tad ironic? -I'm pretty sure that what Purple Jessop really meant to say was that he loves us.
Don't pick on CHCB, she's ace, her writing is thoughtful, creative, intelligent and far better than 99% of the stuff I've seen on here.
Yes, she casually mentioned that she'd been playing with her mimsy, but this was a good thing. The majority of replies to that post weren't about the post itself. It was in these replies that I got to know and like many of the people here, I've added them to my friends and never miss any of their posts.
Kaol -he's been dragged into this a bit, I'm pretty sure he thinks he's alot more high-brow than the likes of al and I, but it is fun to join in sometimes.
althegeordie - is extremely funny, and has me wetting my pants quite regularly. Plus, we're in love, people do stupid things when they're in love.
Me - I'm a nob, this I accept with relish. Nobody will ever force you to read my posts, or my replies (of which there are often MANY), if you don't want to click 'ignore' you can quite easily skip over them.
If I'm reading a story, and within the first paragraph I don't like it, I'll stop reading. It's simple, not something to get worked up about.
@emvee -I explained at the time that the two make-believe stories I wrote were an 'in' joke between me and a few other b3tans. I'm sorry they offended you so much, but I'd like to point out that the first one still made it to the Best page, so there were clearly enough people who 'got' them and liked them.
As for my posts being sub-GCSE level, you got me there. I got Bs for English Language and Literature, and didn't even finish college, but I'd like to think I've learned a thing or two in the ten years since then, and that the many, well-educated (far more than I am) b3tans that read and appreciate my posts don't seem to mind at all.
Oh, and both the posts in emvee's reply above, were fictional, as are about 50% of my posts.
So, in short, if you don't like me or the things I post...
FUCK OFF
*EDIT* I'd also like to point out that I don't participate in the race for 'last' post, I find it annoying, but quite easy to ignore as I have other things to do. In fact, it was shortly after I posted asking everybody to stop, that it seemed to abate, almost instantly.

Late reply
I agree with what Tourette's and Bert Monkeysex have already said about CHCB so I won't repeat it. I'd just like to mention that even if she never made references to her anatomy, I'd still look just as forward to reading her posts. It's the geeky wordplay-abilities combined with the Irish gift of the gab plus being a renaissance woman, which makes her a formidable opponent in any verbal-jousting match.
If a woman flicking her bean threatens you, you have some psychological issues that need resolving.
And like Bert Monkeysex said, I too got to know several of the QOTW'ers through that thread.
So in short, get off your high horse, chill out, relax and join the fun. You might even like it.

mista etc.
It was not the mentioning of minge that I took exception to. It was the fact that 200 geeks chuckled into their Iced Tea at the word minge, and the reason why the thought of an average looking woman touching her minge sent them into rapturous wanking failed me. I still do not understand, why was everyone so fucking made up that a woman masturbated.
I just think it's wank. I'm not going to say "oooh, it's childish", because you can post what you want, but as the only people who reply or even read your posts are close friends of yours, could you not have sent a group text to all of your friends, rather than take over the b3ta QOTW to do shite and I can't really be bothered explaining anymore, but also, the Bert fellow is a gobshite for taking such offence. If someone calls you a shitehawk, either accept or reject the notion that you are a shitehawk, don't fucking cry about it with rubbishly written posts.

Personally
It livened up an otherwise dull Wednesday afternoon for me. It was what it was - lighthearted and daft.
If I remember rightly, you posted a story (see: Karma) about shagging your mother in law and getting chilli on your cock as a result. If you'd got 200+ responses, would you have had a go at people for responding? Or would you have just gone with the flow and joined in - much as happened in the instance to which you are referring..?
It's pretty harmless and inoffensive really. Unlike Swifty's unbelievably racist post earlier this week which, frankly, was appalling and fully deserving of anyone's venom. Why this guy hasn't been chucked off I don't know.
This is an interactive, public board where almost anything goes. It's not life or death. Some people aren't going to be your cup of tea - fine. Some people aren't mine either. I just don't read their stuff, and if their particularly offensive, then into the b3ta room 101 they go.
Simple really.
(Oh, and I don't think everyone partaking in wanking Wednesday were really wanking. It's called make believe)...

There's no need for that
Personally I found the whole thing funny, it's a sideswipe at the whole "Wednesday Afternoon" malaise that afflicts the QOTW board.
To come back with something like "an average looking woman touching her minge sent them into rapturous wanking failed me" smacks of both envy and a desire to express a thinly veilled insult.
200+ people responded because they thought it was funny. If people don't want to respond then *cups hand and whispers* they don't have to!
Having viewed your own profile and your total number of posts here, it seems somewhat presumptious of you to be having a pop at someone who's wit, intelligence and storytelling ability regularly earns them a spot in the weekly "Best Of".
