World of Random
There's a pile of scrap timber, rubble and general turds in the road opposite my work with a hand-written sign reading "Free Shed". Tell us about random, completely hatstand stuff and people you've seen

ive always wondered
how does a pair of shoes end up entangled with a phone line above a street.
Not only is it difficult to do, but it usually looks like its been tied on too.
Anyone else see shoes tied to phone lines?

They're not tied as such.
What you do is you tie the laces of the two shoes together, so you have a cord (the laces) with two weights at either end (the shoes). You hold one shoe, spin the other around to get momentum, release and they head for the power line, where the cord hits, and the other shoe spins around the power line.
Or you can hire a ladder, climb up, and place them there carefully.
