This is a question Worst Band Ever

If I was in charge of the B3ta fatwa department, we wouldn't be hearing too much from Simply Red in the future. Who's on your musical shit list and why?

The Beautiful twatting South
I hate music with no balls in it, and the BS haven't got one between them. Everything is just so fucking NICE in their world isn't it? Even when they put swearing in a song they make it so teeth achingly nice. If you're going to swear in a song don't make it sound like a playschool sing-a-long. Swears are dirty, and I for one want to keep them that way.

And everyone that listens to them is a cardigan wearing pansy who enjoy long walks and yorkshire terriers, this has been proven by scientists with graphs.

they did have the dubious honour of being respected amongst road crews
because they split the shows' cash takings 50-50 between band and the crew, even to the point of inviting them to record company meetings. I hear.

Paul Weller ditto
(respected and liked by roadies, not the 50/50 part)despite coming across a bit 'spikey' in most press interviews

Being well respected by the road crew? Very rock n roll. This is exactly what I'm talking about, soooooooooooo teeth achingly nice.

I'd pay good money to see Lemmy run them over with a monster truck.

Oh God this times a million.
I bloody hate them with a passion; they're so achingly, cloyingly twee they make me want to cut my own ears off with a slightly serrated stiletto heel that's accidentally stood on a dog turd and been left in the sun to bake for a few hours.

I wear cardigans and enjoy long walks. Not so hot on terriers or the BS, though.

It's a slippery slope. Turn back whilst there's still time!

Everything is just so fucking NICE

What made them so great was everyone THOUGHT this, but lyrically they could be anything but.

One of the funniest things I ever saw was Rotterdam on some Valentine's day compilation.
It's a song about football hooligans

Lyrically, perhaps.
In terms of musical arrangement and delivery they were just utterly sickly.

Or maybe it's just that I want to punch Paul Heaton in the face every time I see him. I'm not sure.

No feck off
36D is a top tune and I think BS were great at writing pop songs.
