Have you ever bid on something on Ebay
that you don't need, isn't worth much, and won't bring you much happiness - but you have to have it, no matter what?
Theres this thing I'm bidding on that is a total waste of money, but I must have it no matter what as they're very rare. It isn't even in this fecking country.

Yup
Many things
The last thing I got that I didn't need was a Casio VL Tone Keyboard and more recently Homer Simpson dressed as Radioactive Man

A memory card

he was a bit of an arse
it was like he was trying to find fault with it and it's a bloody good lens. I've had pics in books and magazine covers and stuff with it. It was bloody humiliating to be honest selling it. It was my pride and joy. Now it feels like my right arms been cut off. I can't take decent pics anymore :(

I bought a broken PS2, the repair part, the leads, the memory cards, hard drive unit, games, and pads, all in seperate auctions, and I don't even have a TV.

Not wanting to get into a pissing war,
but the converstion when it was produced was that it was his treat to himself after he graduated and got his first job. He typed all his college papers on a typewriter. The kids didn't really get it.
