Favourite band name formula?
I used to be a fan of the Random Word Generator method ... new fast automatic daffodils, ned's atomic dustbin. I'm now teetering towards [somebody] and the [something]. Tilly and the Wall. Florence and the Machine. Stuffy/The Fuses. Your Mum and a bunch of arab sailors.

I did have a bunch I'd thought up.
I lost them though.

I like your idea.

Is it? I had no idea.
Sorry, that was a bit sarky.

One can never tell,
on the internet.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:38, archived)
This is true.
Did you know that the Internet got it's name from the bloke who invented it, George Internetz, who was travelling in an Intercity Express to Southend to buy a fishing net. It was all too much of a coincidence and it stuck.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:41, archived)

(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:36, archived)
They said that back in the 80's when the synth bands got popular.
It will pass.

they've been on their way out since the wandering minstrels of the 15th century,
and yet, no matter how much they appear to recede, they're still there, like some sort of twangy yeast infection.

(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:34, archived)
They should be named after the village in which they perform at the weekly dance.
Like the Tulla Céilí Band, The Kilfenora Céilí Band, or Anal Cunt.
