It's not something I do a huge amount of, probably due to a lack of the options you mentioned. There are a few companies who ask me from time to time, and they'd know me through production/presenting work I've done in the past.

it was for a olde quake mod that was to be professionally published....however the voice over stuff did get used in Battlecruiser Millennium.

It was a very low budget PC detective game. My character had a bomb in his goatee apparantly. I got a free copy of the game but never got as far as my character's scene. It was low budget for a reason.
