The morning

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 7:45, archived)
morning

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 7:49, archived)
Today I learned about locked grooves.
What did you learn about?
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:36, archived)
What's a locked groove, Windy?
Sounds like something one might do whilst listening to Bootsy Collins haha
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:37, archived)
At the end of a record, using the captive constant groove the stylus runs in to stop it going off the vinyl,
And having a loop of music or a sound in there that just runs forever.
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:39, archived)
there's one at the end of Sgt Pepper

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:42, archived)
And at the end of atom heart mother

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:44, archived)
and at the end of Tiny Reminders

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:56, archived)
and at the end of Yerself is Steam

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:46, archived)
I never really bothered with Mercury Rev at the time, but I quite enjoy Deserter's Songs these days.
What am I like!
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:59, archived)

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 10:12, archived)

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 10:13, archived)
that is one boring old record

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:06, archived)
I cant say I've ever listened to it.
The groove was brought to my attention while looking for an early Mars Volta record.
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:08, archived)
well let's just say I've spared you the bother

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:41, archived)
you don't really need to listen to anything after piper

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:48, archived)
saucerful of secrets isn't bad

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 10:00, archived)

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:37, archived)
Hi

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:39, archived)
Morning
35 tries until I finally got through to the doctor. Takes the piss,
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:38, archived)
It's a real lottery,
I just ring up and get an appointment, longest I've had to wait is like a day or 2.
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:40, archived)
We have to call at 8am to make an appointment
Of course, everyone calls then, so by the time you get through, the appointments are usually all gone
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:50, archived)
Sounds like a poor people problem, no matter when I ring there is an appointment usually the same day.

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:51, archived)
It's quieter where I live now
But even in deepest darkest Pompey I never struggled to get a same day appointment. I mean, I can't say that I always saw a decent doctor, but that's a separate issue
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:07, archived)
when I moved to Bethnal Green I went to the surgery up the road to register
they told me not to, as it was taking a month to see a GP
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:41, archived)
My doctor got a load of new patients a few years ago
When the surgery in the village hired a doctor who had been sent from the dwp. People with chronic and even life-threatening illnesses were suddenly being declared fit for work
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:48, archived)
Which is as it should be.

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:59, archived)
Too many patients, too few doctors.
Plus, sefton pct are fucking shit
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:27, archived)
Do you not have online patient access to book appointments? I thought everywhere had that now

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:41, archived)
Yes, but it doesn't work

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 8:49, archived)
In what way does it not work? Can you log in ?

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:07, archived)
Not usually
And when you can, it says there are no appointments. They won't take appointments for any other day unless it's to see the nurse, if you try to book, they just tell you to call at 8
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:25, archived)
Sounds like the practice isn't using it properly.

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:27, archived)
Definitely not
The 2 decent receptionists left when the old doctor retired and the ones they've got there now are less than useless
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:36, archived)
some scallies have nicked it and sold it for scrap

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:06, archived)
Whipped the copper out of it probably
Bloody pikies
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 9:08, archived)

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 11:19, archived)
aye

(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 11:24, archived)
I love the drumming in The Wizard
It's not so much drumming, it's more 'pushing a drum kit down the stairs while the tape is running'. It's glorious
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 11:36, archived)
have you ever seen their Paris 1970 gig?
fuck me he beats up that kit
(, Fri 12 Feb 2021, 11:39, archived)
