But even in deepest darkest Pompey I never struggled to get a same day appointment. I mean, I can't say that I always saw a decent doctor, but that's a separate issue

they told me not to, as it was taking a month to see a GP

My doctor got a load of new patients a few years ago
When the surgery in the village hired a doctor who had been sent from the dwp. People with chronic and even life-threatening illnesses were suddenly being declared fit for work

And when you can, it says there are no appointments. They won't take appointments for any other day unless it's to see the nurse, if you try to book, they just tell you to call at 8
