Dear Points of View, for a few minutes I was most concerned
that this would be yet another video which did not include a scene with at least three scrawny, half-naked hipsters squeezed into a bathtub.
Imagine my relief then at the 3:55 mark, when such a glorious thing occurred! And with bonus hattery, to boot! "This is why we pay our licence fee", I exclaimed to my wife as she reeled from the commotion. BBC, you've done it again!
Yours elatedly,
Sir Andrew 'Chuff' Spluffington, West Midlands.
P.S. I am wanking as I write this.

what a load of old shit. Weta's done some awful stuff compared to todays work.
King Kong looked as unreal as all the stuff he's complaining about and their early CG stuntmen are shocking.
Using a relatively cheap (low fx budget) Hulk movie and Avatar as examples of things not looking realistic is hardly damning evidence.

That's not the point, I think
Rather, Kong and Avatar marked the point where CGI took over and whole scenes would be rendered in block busters. Before, as in the earlier Hulk, less realistic CGI placed in more realistic filmed sequences actually made more believable films. I tend to argee with this.
Not to the point of making a YouTube video about it though, so meh.

Yeah I believe there is.
I can kind of see the point though. It's the ones that shiny it up too much. The real world is fucking shit and boring so to make it realistic, generally that's what your backdrop has to be.

Also the weighting is a problem
CGI action still gets the weighting wrong so much, so people and objects are being thrown through the air, but they fly like toys. Nothing ever feels real if the weight's wrong.

1) Did anyone else notice the SPOOKY SPACE SOUNDS? That's exactly what I imagine space aliens sound like, although perhaps they also sound a bit like Jean Michel Jarre, I wouldn't be surprised.
2) Clearly the Powers That Be have tried to hide this evidence by releasing it on the internet, the old "Hide In Plain Sight" ploy.

Sweet
Got a chance to go paragliding in Spain once. We set off, and caused a 20+ flock of vultures to fly off from their roosts on the cliffside...below us.
Flying above vultures feels like an oddly philosophical thing...

I had one of the most memorable experiences of my life a few years back sneaking up behind buzzards under a cloud street in a K21.
Shame the flying scared me so much that I quit ;)

Apparently they did this two years ago as 'Cartoon Idol'. Become the Sun's next cartoonist - shell out for a subscription, submit your entry. Nothing was heard of it again and requests for information from the Professional Cartoonists' Association have gone unanswered.

Meh.
I've been in The Sun before. They didn't credit me.
My Dad made the front page once though, and for good reasons, not scandal.
He told George Micheal to get lost because he thought the 'look-a-like" that had visited the previous day was the real thing. Good old Dad. :)
