i love that statue. they have to lock it up at night because the locals have been known to vandalise it. it's at its best when surrounded by the fence.

It was erected after Braveheart at the foot of the hill by the car park, is much shorter than the statue on the monument (local folklore has him around 6'10") and looks unsurprisingly like Mel. It's a sellout by the Jock authorities, just like the Act of Union.
