# We can offer you fantastic investment opportunities
For example, for a small administrative fee to cover bribes and lawyers you can get 10% of Prince HappyToast's fortune, smuggled out of B3taland and currently sitting in the form of a stack of pennies in a warehouse in Croydon.

# ALLEGEDLY rapey
Although reading more about the story, the evidence is looking a lot less "sex without a condom" and more like "set up by some very vindictive, colluding women".
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:37, archived)
# Not even allegedly rapey, from what I can make out.
More like "alleged sexual misconduct blown(lol) out of all proportion, and reported as rape by our media." It's enough to make you want break out the tinfoil hats.

# Heh, ok:
It's your duty to wade through that article if you're going to say "Assange is a rapist," which is a pretty awful thing to say about anyone. It's also your duty to wade through that article if you are going to say "those women falsely accused him of rape," which is also a pretty awful thing to say about anyone.

# ok, so i've only done a little reading on it...
So yes, they consented.

In one of the two cases, either his condom broke and/or was removed.

At this point, the lass in question did not want to continue, but he did anyway.

Did she protest? or did she just shrug her shoulders and carry on?

She may have consented at first, but she withdrew her consent.

Imagine the scenario:

"Let's have sex."

"Ok, but I'm going to fark you in the ass too."

"No!"

"But you consented...."

Rape, not rape? In my book, that's a tad bit rapey.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:56, archived)
# The scenario you describe is rape.
However, I've not read anything that indicates that either of the women withdrew their consent during sex. Woman A was annoyed about the condom breaking, and accused him of breaking it deliberately. Both women are annoyed by his refusal to have a sexual helath screening, ie let them know if he has any STIs.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 20:03, archived)
# ok
Another is that he had unprotected sex with another woman, Miss W, while she was asleep. source

You cannot consent if you are asleep. Rape.

One woman said that Mr. Assange had ignored her appeals to stop after a condom broke. source

It's unclear from the source if the story has completely changed or exactly what happened. But, condom breaks, "oh no stop," consent withdrawn, rape.

# This whole Consensual sex meaning rape thing puzzles me.
Are there any other bizarre reverse meanings in Swedish law?
And don't tell me there aren't any Swedish lawyers reading this right now, because I find that very hard to believe.

# Hey, my dad was killed by a Swedish lawyer, you insensitive bastard!

# I know, I saw the film with Burt Lancaster
did your dad really look like Yul Brynner though?
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:42, archived)
# Yes, but with more pubic hair
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 19:43, archived)
# Please note, I'm not a Swedish lawyer
I have read up on this a bit though. Seems that Swedish law is massively stacked against men in just about every respect imaginable. If a woman accuses a man of something, chances are he's going to be convicted of it. Some have described the place as a "Feminist Utopia". Sounds more like a vision of hell to me.
