apologies if I got a bit shirty with a few posters.
and no this was not about 'the pixel width of my images and I took offence and flounced off'
I think it's clear what my opinion about that was
www.b3ta.com/board/10737745
404 pixels wide images fits just dandy on the fp without adjustment
I know because my nick clegg post was 404
www.b3ta.com/board/10735440 and fitted fine without resizing (but this was taken off the fp when it was pointed out, probably the same mystery mod that edited my posts - making me look like a paranoid dick and being fine with it)
and for the record I didn't 'flounce because of resizing images'
www.b3ta.com/board/10739125
believe it or not posters can leave this site out of choice rather than in a huff
but never let the truth get in the way of a good story

you think you will, but you never will, you'll end up mugging old ladies for their broadband connection and using the 2 hours free computer access at the local library.

Flouncing is the ancient art of leaving a board, community, blog or Internet forum in the most dramatic way possible.
Whereas normal people who are fed up with a discussion or debate simply leave, flouncers need eternal validation. Instead of simply logging off, they must announce that they are leaving. Flouncing usually occurs when a wanker realizes that other people on the planet hold differing views.
History
In childhood, flouncing is called "tantrums."
Types
* A Convoluted Flounce is a wordy diatribe in which the wanker must make it clear how everyone else is forcing them to leave, and that the wanker simply has no other choice.
* The Double Flounce is when a flouncer vows never to post again and never to return. They then return to announce again that they will never again return.
* The Triple (or more) Flounce is exceedingly rare, but definitely the most amusing.
Effects
The goal of a flounce is always to elicit an outpouring of handwringing and sympathy from other fans ("Please don't go, we love you, you're brilliant!") If there's a corresponding threat of deletion, they will expect an added outcry for the sake of their fic ("It would be like Michelangelo erasing the Sistine Chapel if we live without chapter 217 of your Harmonian opus!"). The wanker must know that they are so vitally important mass suicide will result if they leave the fandom. If there is an insufficient outcry the first time, the wanker will institute the double flounce.
98.7% of flouncers return within a week, usually in the form of a sockpuppet. A percentage of these flouncers will actually return as themselves or not leave at all, most with the explantion that the sympathy garnered has changed their minds.

the post up there was genuine, the fallout and abuse I knew would come from posting it is part of the course, it was aimed at the posters I came here for and enjoyed seeing their stuff
we're all probably grown ups in real life , we sit here probably in an office or working from home and typing about this stuff on a comedy forum we logged onto, probably in between doing a design for a client or making some toast
I think that's probably the size of things and the reality of it, to be honest
EDIT: sorry if I didn't address any points you may have made, I admit I never read your reply past the first 2 lines (I 'm guessing the gist) but I'm not being obtuse when I say that, but I did reply given you spent the time to type out that huge chunk of text

it's hard to take you seriously or personally though when trolling just seemed to be your sole function on this forum

edit: I love the fact you are debating at all whether to take my comment "Flouncy McFlounce" seriously.

"MICHEAL ELLIS: I CANNOT FORGIVE"
to remind us you've gone. Just in case we missed the last time you came back to tell us you'd gone.
It'd be more convincing if you'd just go.

It's just funnier if it was, and this isn't the place to let facts get in the way of a joke.
Now stay.

...you initially got wound up about something pretty minor, accused the mods of being out to get you, dismissed everyone who dared suggest you might be overreacting as trolls, went around trying to have the last word in every resultant subthread, then had your account deleted. Having done that, you were clearly still watching the drama you'd caused unfold -- otherwise, why come stir things up again with another account, and go around trying to get the last word over everyone again?
... and now you're back once again. So you weren't actually leaving, you were just causing a shitstorm of drama with you as the center of attention.
I'm sorry, but that's a massive flounce. And a huff. (Incidentally, no-one other than you suggested that either of those suggest a lack of "choice" on your part.) Your recent antics are, in fact, precisely those of an attention-seeking drama queen.
How tedious.

Actually, I'm channeling the moderation on the User Friendly comments section, (a surprisingly thriving community) where I was a regular for a few years. They've got a "no drama queens" rule that I really like, viz:
if you post a big production goodbye that says basically you're leaving because the board sucks/you people are idiots/etc your account will be permanently disabled. In other words, we will enforce your goodbye so be sure you really want to go before posting something like that.
Personally, I think that rule would be good for pretty much any internet community.
