Fluff alert! .... because it's Friday 13th and we need more things that go fluff in the night...
Meet this lovely little fox cub that has been visiting my garden for the last two months.
He's bigger each day and I sit on the other side of the open patio door watching as he gets used to me. Occasionally, I feed him some left overs. He's a curious little thing.
I took this pic this afternoon.
I noticed he has a sore eye which closed up this morning so I'm going to attempt to catch him and then RSPCA will come round and treat it for him cos I want him to be nice
and healthy. Could resemble marx bros or carry on film with me running around garden with a blanket trying to catch him....
Fluff over and out, have a lovely weekend y'all.

part of me wants to hold him so, so tight that he just won't run away again
but then I remember I'm not a serial killer....

Aww no, I'd never do that. Anti-fur and all that.
Plus, his skin seems to fit him just fine. ^^

and then if I find out that it's actually a girlfox
I could change it to Gusette...

Awww, he's lovely! :)
I have two different foxes that come into my garden; one that's a bit chunky, and a skinny, grubby little one, a bit like that one up there.
EDIT: I'd check with the RSPCA before you try and restrain him. Oh, and apparently foxes like cat food.

I spoke to the RSPCA first and they said it would be easier if I could catch him first, then call them
so then I went of freecycle, and found a nice lady who is lending me a dog cage.
Execution of plan may not be so easy but I've some left over meaty bits to woo him.

he doesn't trust me but he knows I sometimes have food

You could Dick-Dastardly it and set up a trap with the string and all that.
But it's like Ad7 said, I don't think the fox would appreciate being out-foxed. XD
But it's for his own good I guess.

when I come to release it
I'll do it in the style of shawshank redemption. probably.

The RSPCA would most likely deal with releasing him.
We have to remember your garden and the surrounding area is his territory; it'd be cruel to dump him far away.

Joking aside, I'd hope he'd get release back here in the garden, or even treated here.
Plus his mum might be nearby. Hopefully it's just a bit of conjunctivitis and fleas and can be easily treated. fortunately I have big motorbike gloves so I won't get bitten.

Yeah, it'd be a good idea to tell the RSPCA what the fox's symptoms seem to be.
All being well, all he'd need is an injection, maybe a flea bath, and he'll be out and about within a day or two.
I think one of the foxes that comes into my garden has mange. My neighbour said it was losing fur, but I haven't seen it in quite a while. I hope it's okay.

Mange is indeed a terrible affliction.
The little fella should be back fairly soon, if you've baited it and all that. Then again, the weather's been a bit shit lately so I dunno.

What a cute little thing.
Don't let the Daily Mail know it's probably looking to eat a baby or rape some chickens.
