# Ep 6: A night at the opera...

# Too soon man, too soon.

# I was worried that people might think that
But I made this weeks ago (genuine apologies if folks are offended, def not intentional)
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:07, archived)
# I find this apology offensive and demand that
someone does something about it! Won't somebody think of the Children?

# by Robert Miles? Excellent tune
Now I fully understand the term 'editorial judgement' - it's odd, just before posting it I thought 'Nah, it's an opera, it's a knife, no-one'll think it's anything to do with the news'... now it's on a computer screen all I can see is murder in a theatre :(
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:16, archived)
# I see you've played knifey-spoony before.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:48, archived)
# Anyone taking offence* probably shouldn't be on b3ta.
* perceived or otherwise.

# Anyone taking offence should probably not leave the Daily Mail comments pages
or Jeremy Vine's phone-in show on Radio 2 this lunchtime which had some mental woman saying no one on the planet should ever see the film otherwise you may as well be shitting on the graves of the people who were shot

# Non-existent gun control and a genuine psycopath are nothing in comparison to a film about a superhero.
The sooner Hollywood stops trying to entertain us and just fucks off, the sooner all the crazies with guns will vanish.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:42, archived)
# damn you batman and your dislike of guns and criminal activity
teaching people how to use guns and be a badguy

# Is this where I say "unimaginable horror"?

# Not gonna happen.

# also, this has been bugging me about the recent news reporting

maybe he is a Steve Millar fan or plays cards a lot or something

# They were saying that the Joker (Heath Ledger) wore a red wig when he blew up the hospital.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:48, archived)
# Well why didn't he blow up a hospital then?

tssssk!
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:53, archived)
# knowwhatumsayin'?!
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:57, archived)
# really?
so why the lack of a nurses uniform?
utter bullshit news reporting

# ....uh........i.....ah...............................um.........
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 21:01, archived)
# It was a red wig. By the time he blew the hospital up, he'd already ditched it.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 21:03, archived)
# ...i just.....ah.......um....
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 21:05, archived)
# maybe he's colour blind and he thinks it is green
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:49, archived)
# Yeah, the repeated statement "he dyed his hair to look like The Joker" never rang true with me, either.
He may have said "I'm The Joker" to the cops, but anyone with half a clue about Batman's Gallery of Rogues would know the hair colour had fuck all to do with anything.
It's easier to just make an assumption and run with it, because people want to blame something, anything, rather than admit that they have no idea what motivates someone to heavily arm themselves and deliberately murder 12 human beings.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:56, archived)
# Wouldn't be the first time I've seen a news story inventing a possible imitation of a fictional character.
I wish they weren't showing these pictures; that's all people will talk about.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 22:46, archived)
# sadly, this is also my biggest unanswered question about this whole sorry incident

this guy's hairdo looks like a Japanese pop star (or as above, pirate Bowie)
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 23:16, archived)
# That was my nan
Probably.
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:50, archived)
# hahaha brilliant

# Anyone taking offence
will at least have plenty of sheds to store it in.

"Papa, might I go up to the Spanging Room now?"

(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:15, archived)
# oof?
I think you're confusing Tintin with knee jerk daily mail reactions to current events
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:18, archived)
# But I haven't gotten round to blaming it on rising house prices, immigration or Rastamouse yet!
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:21, archived)
# fucking knee jerks
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:26, archived)
# Yeah, agreed...
^see humble apologies above. Ironically I've never been one for sick jokes :(
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:18, archived)
# Yeah, I guess it was just bad timing.
Not hating on your Tintin stuff, by the way. I bloody love it. :D
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:23, archived)
# Cheers, man
I'll probably still feel misunderstanding-ly guilty for the rest of the day but I'll link to them all once I've posted the last one...
(, Mon 23 Jul 2012, 20:33, archived)
# I wouldn't feel too bad about it.
Just blame my double-standards with stuff like this. XD
