And the third series of The Walking Dead is already far superior to the second season, which was more like 'Little Zombie on The Prairie' (AKA: 'The Talking Dead').

# The problem is that the book is epic and brilliant
In order to do it justice you'd have to make a Band of Brothers-style TV series, at least 10 hours or so, with each hour centring on a different character. Which, sadly, isn't how movies work, so they rewrite it as a standard blockbuster.

The zombies are way too fast as well :(
