not so many participants any more - a year ago b3ta image challenges regularly got 250-300 submissions. Past 2 months they're only getting about 80 images, all from the same people. Looks to me like b3ta is fizzling out. I guess nobody can be bothered with it any more.

Pardon me for falling into that trap. My fault obviously - read the small print before clicking anything. The fact that the button is highlighted to make it more noticeable has nothing to do with it.

What's your excuse? perhaps you need to consider applying that to the people you're complaining aren't jumping through hoops for your amusement

well I've jumped through a few hoops in my time - not enough to amuse you clearly. but then you can put in quite a lot of effort to contribute and wonder why you bothered. I reckon that goes for a lot of people who used to be here but aren't any more.

Besides, b3ta isn't just /board and the image compo. It kind of centres more around the newsletter, which remains an excellent place to launch things you've made.
I assume we've lost a lot of users to social media (as with all sites), but 100 is still an impressive amount of entries considering it takes time and thought to enter, and it always was "the same people" every week, even when there were more of them.
Besides, easier to enter challenges like the haunted house one still get high submissions.

Maybe the ones that are still here are the actual backbone of b3ta.
