I only saw it for the first time about 6-7 years ago, so im not judging it with nostalgia tinted goggles

# Nicholson's great as always and he gave it his all, but the script was lacking.
The book gave a reason for the stuff that happened rather than just 'man sees ghosts, goes mental'. Thought the TV movie was a bit better, much closer to the source anyway.
