I had a blast at the Drinkie Doodle on Saturday. Drew a sh*tload of stuff. Gotta do one of these again at some point! My sketches can be seen here and here.

only 9 or so of a possible 45. Still can't believe none of the talk boarders who said they were coming showed :(
Hopefully it was the weather (extreme heat, humidity and then thunder and lightning) that put people off and not an allergy to hummus and alcohol The ones that did attend seemed to have a whale of a time :)

Also can't help that people coming from up north, Nottingham station is completely closed for 5 weeks,
causing changes in routes delays and bus shuttles. Glad you had fun.

was jack nicholson's performance. at least it was nowhere near as rambling and pointlessly odd as the book.

Nicholson's great as always and he gave it his all, but the script was lacking.
The book gave a reason for the stuff that happened rather than just 'man sees ghosts, goes mental'. Thought the TV movie was a bit better, much closer to the source anyway.

The Shining is a great film.
However, the longer, original US cut detracts from the European cut, in my opinion, by explaining too much
And the Room 237 documentary is a load of pointless bollocks.

Some say start at the Neck of Pearls and follow the glistening flow.
Others say seek the Navel of Lint and head North.
Still others say: Go thee straight to the Forest of Minge whereupon the Burrowing Snake's Moistened Lair is concealed. Such folk do not heed the danger of the Brachyura of Misfortune and can only end up in despair.
Then again there's always the cave round the back, innit.
