Argentina
I'm laughing my ass off right now! The B3ta image of the Argentinian (shirtlifter) team holding the purses before a PK just showed up on the intranet chat.
Speaking of. I'm really shocked that you Limeys haven't said much more about the cup!

I love that...
I guess I missed that amidst the din of the voices in my head.

The reason it's
banned is because there's a squillion and 1 other places where people can go to bore each other shitless with why THEY would've played a better game whereas we're just obsessed with munting stuff :o))

There is that. It
was PE that taught me the futility of rugby 'cos I'm not violent in the slightest and always ended up opposing teams who were. And that was just the girls.

Rugby at school was shite
the team with the smelly kid would win because no-one was willing to touch him.

That sounds like a
plausible reason to me.
I always got picked to play in goal or defence, I had a mystical ability for getting hit in the bollocks by the ball from any shot.

I got picked in PE
but where I grew up soccer was eventually banned because they felt that elementary school kids shouldn't be trying to kill each other during sports. So they made us play football instead. heh.

You mean that there is a difference
between soccer and football?
Oh yeah - Soccer is for gayboys and Association football is for real men!

only in the USA
only in the good ole US of A do we have to make the distinction.
Mainly because if our great aunts and grandparents heard us talking about football and found out we weren't talking about the Dallas Cowboys, well... there'd be hell to pay.

I prefer mugs for general use,
but cups for an after dinner coffee, and teeny-tiny cups for espressos. :)
Why is the World Cup not a cup? Actually, who cares?
