it was all going so well until i got my pension statement this morning. it's got my 'normal retirement date on it' in big letters. want to know when it is?
23rd March 2039.
another 36 years to go. that's 6 more years than i've even been alive. i'm not even half way to being old enough to spend all my money on bingo and tins of cat food. how depressing.
this isn't a threadwaste as it contains important information. so nyer ;)

You are of course assuming that you will live long...
...enough to see any of it. And on that cheery thought, I'll retire.

Had I stayed in the pub trade
I could have retired on full pension aged 44
100% FACT!
As it is, I have about another 40 years to go. Bugger.

I had the same plan....
...retire as a millionaire at 30. Now it is 40. But if I was a millionaire in my teens/twenties I very much doubt I would still be alive today.

The good thing is
you probaly won't live that long anyway so you may as well live dangerously and go off on a cat buying rampage

Bollocks to that.
I'm retiring at 50 at the latest. I haven't worked out how, but if my Dad did it, then so can I.

I'm banking on my parents
kicking the bucket in time so I can have all their money.
