there isn't any decent scanner software.
Or none of it's been updated since Win 3.1

buy a
new scanner. They cost £40 & will have current software.
You most likely need software that is designed for your scanner - the website of the manufacturer may help. I scan everything in through Photoshop.

missing/corrupt then. Go to your scanner's manufacturers website and download the right ones.
