# Sorry for the text only sausage
but I'm at my wit's end.

Any one know the correct settings for WS_FTP for Blueyonder personal web pages? (Their FAQ was NFG, BTW.)

Any help greatly appreciated.

# if its like Demon, then the correct directory will be buried deep in the tree
See if they have a pre configured FTP Client on their webpage and either use that or nab the settings and use them in WS_FTP

# no eye deer.
somewhere in blueyonder's support pages maybe...

edit: it is, look:

To upload to PWP, you need to put the following settings in your FTP program:

Hostname: ftp.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk
Username: yourwebsitealias [which is the part of your address between the www. and the ".pwp"]
Password: Your PWP password, as chosen in Self Care
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 15:49, archived)
# have you tried your full email address
in the user box?
or changing the port number?

failing that, do what I do.
Start > Run > ftp.

# wha
you never used command line ftp?

# I have used commandline ftp
on linux, but I have never needed to on WinXP, and I didn't even know it was there. It's a pleasant surprise tbh.
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 16:15, archived)
# use
ftp.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

and then use your username given to you by blueyonder as (funnily enough) the username.

Same with the password. Tick save password too on WS_FTP.

I use it.

By the way, there are too many nice lollies on your poll. How are we meant to choose between Zoom, Twister and Feast? How, I ask you?
(, Wed 14 Apr 2004, 15:57, archived)
# Easy
Feast has nuts, nuts = choking =bad.

Zoom = Small amount of chocolate and some sprinkles = con = bad

Twister = Hail the lolly king.
