It says fancy dress is optional. Fair enough.
But I say anyone who doesn't dress up is a poosy.
That's just my opinion, of course. :)

Although judging by your profile, of course, you won't need to dress differently to be in Hallowe'en costume.

in a frankly great costume which I've been honing down to a fine art for years.
You should go as a zombie with some nice porridge make-up. Boy look better in gross costumes, girls look better in foxy costumes. As a general rule. I think.

something similar on New Year Eve in my home town of St. Ives in Cornwall, 25,000 mashed people in fancy dress every year - and the look of embarrassment on those not dressed up.

left my costume box 'in care' back in oz
i had:
cowboy (made of real cow)
luke skywalker (yes, i'm a geek)
rocky horror (too old and fat for that now, anyways)
arab (gen-ewe-wine head-dress and all)
etc. etc. etc.
hmm, now what can I rustle up in 3 weeks?
