# fuck off with the fucking nazis comments
really

so tired of people having a go at the people who offer advice

Besides, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that image. AT ALL!

*apologies for being so reactive this morning, I've just spilt my tea so I have every right to be angry

# not entirely directed at you fella

a) being called a nazi for trying to be friendly
and b) having people have a go at me for being a "nazi"

# chill...
Don't get so worked up about it mate. You're still relatively new
here and believe me, we've been going through the same thing for a lot
longer. You takes your chances on here. If they don't want to listen
to helpful advice or the odd comment when they should have read the
FAQ then it's their problem, not ours. We can't force them to listen mate, and what goes around comes around.
If they persistently do it, there are measures in place (i.e. naughty step/banning)
which takes care of most of the troublesome lot...

Rising to them and shouting only encourages them, we have no place to tell them what to do, merely mock and nudge them in the right direction with the odd inspired, witty and sarcastic comment
so cheer up :-)

In other news - morning all!
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:26, archived)
# Morning most

...

Ok then,

Morning all too

# nevermind, good to have you back!
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:30, archived)
# I'd just like
to say in my defence that it was an off-the-hand comment. I do listen to advice, and I'm fully aware of the FAQ.

I edited, because I knew that Mr Toast was right, and felt it was marginally unfair with the whole "nazi" line of text.
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:29, archived)
# We're only Nazis in the lovely sense of the word.
*ahem*
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:30, archived)
# yes, totally!
*bursts out in a rousing chorus of "Springtime for Hitler"*
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:31, archived)
# Hahahahaha, my favourite!
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:32, archived)
# mine too *hides*
/knows all teh words blog
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:34, archived)
# I wasn't having a go at you, don;t worry :-)
but watching a (hates to use the word) 'nazi' get riled on the board only encourages the plebs that push it.

In the 1 year and 9 months I've been here, the number of registered users has nearly doubled, so
it stands to reason that the number of plebs/cocknobblers/morons who use this board has
also increased - It's the calm, sane people on the board who need to help with a kind word or two, the odd bit of advice, and where necessary - sarcasm!
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:33, archived)
# This, with a cherry on top.
'ning!
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:29, archived)
# Morning m'lovely!

# hello TGA
could you enlight me about this naugthy step measure you're talking about ? I think I've missed something
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:31, archived)
# apparently, 'offenders' on the board can get 'naughty stepped' by rob (other mods are available)
and have temporary bans for like half an hour or something...

If Lord Manley were here, he'd tell you all about it
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:34, archived)
# Indeed!
And 'ning!
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:33, archived)
# a hearty ning to you to squire, good to see you
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:35, archived)
# true
I shouldn't rise to it.

But unfortunately I'm a passionate person at times, and I did have tea all over the place at the time ;)
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:39, archived)
# you are forgiven.... next time, try and drink the tea...
it's never good as a fashion accessory ;-)
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:40, archived)
# I did lap some of it up

but it tasted of desk. :(
(, Fri 16 Jun 2006, 9:42, archived)
