Before everyone starts with 'fuck off noob'... I discovered this image this morning as part of a mass mail. Thing is I went to this very school many, many moons ago. At the very least when I left I could spell

Fortunately I don't live there anymore. In fact, I think the area went into a steep decline shortly after I left.

Croydon has such potential. If it weren't for the Croydonians it would be a nice place to live.

also being a grey concrete shithole.
At least there's a decent branch of Forbidden Planet right next to the station.

which is the bad end, and leads to the aforementioned Thornton Heath. East and South Croydon are much better. We speak not of the North.

But South isn't too bad I suppose. The Swan and sugarloaf is OK (or used to be anyway) and the random comedy club is alright.

The comedy club has moved, though don't know where. Favourite watering hole for me has to be The Treehouse. I just bought a flat next door.

I have the pleasure of working in Croydon, would be fine if it wasn't for the scummers...

Yea I watched that the other day.
It had potential if you completely replaced the cast and stabbed the guy who wrote the script.

Well unless you are a gung-ho American... which reminds me - Armageddon... Christ... yes I can train you to be an astronaught in 2days and teach you how to drive a lunar vehicle....

You need to see Ninja v Zombie - Super Ninja Master: Zombie Rivals.
It seems to be two completely unrelated films spliced together. And for some reason the ninjas seem to be dressed in highly coloured bin bags. Classic.

It was bad enough on vid. I can't believe they bothered releasing it on DVD.

Of course the best martial arts flicks are - RIKI-OH The Story of Ricky, and Kung-pow.

I've just ordered a copy.
Not too bothered by Kung Pow. I prefer my dodgy movies to be unintentionally bad instead of crap spoofs.
For my money, the best martial arts films ever is Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon. (yes, that's right, Berry Gordy - the head of Motown Records)

without knowing what it was. Watched the first few minutes and wasn't sure if it was meant to be serious or a giggle. Then the woman tossed the baby back down the hill and I started howling with laughter. Great movie.
