(off-topic : it's odd how often people who have macs will talk to me in coffeshops/on trains when they see I have a mac. like its some kind of secret society/ club).

They see you have a Mac and immediately assume you are a Mac nerd like them. They generally feel alone and unloved in the PC dominated world and will cling to each-other for support.
