# I get all my software from a mate who travels to Iran a couple of times a year.
Due to a lack of pircay laws, everything is dirt cheap.
I got Photoshop, Illustator, Flash Suite, Corel 12.0, AutoCAD and some others for about £12.

# why not just get it for free off the internet like the guys in Iran do
before they sell it to your mate. Cut out the middleman/country:

Google the following - utorrent, demonoid.

# Obviously
a 30 day try before I purchase copy.
Mind you I think I got an email the other day that had all major software brands available to download for a fraction of the cost - perhaps as they have a gif of a padlock on their website I should buy from there ??

# hehehe
Yeah it would be great if those dodgy guys that sell pirate DVDs in pubs did the same with software:P

I've got a copy of PS7 that a bought years back. I'm thinking of getting the latest version but to be honest I think it would only be justified if did a lot of tattyshop studying.

# why wait for some guy
to turn up to the pub? Just use bit torrent.

# Oh I don't know...
photoshop is pretty good for making vectors. IVV uses photoshop exclusively I think. So do I, for what it's worth (95% of the time anyway).

# A good vector is a clever thing
but I do think that often a filter (or just posterise) would be better than some of the poorer vectors.

# yea I really do like photoshops ability to do vectors

but I just don't think it looks as clean as Illustrator :)

# I combine both Photoshop and Illustrator.
Probably the least efficient way of doing it though.

# I use PaintShop Pro.
But then, I am a filthy heretic.

# I started on Paintshop pro....then saw the light ;)

there are still some things I like better in psp than photoshop

# the amount i play with piccies these days, i would feel obliged to get a legitimated copy of PS
and the price tag just doesn't do it for me

# Xara is pretty cool too.
Ever seen the vectors of b3tan "James Smith"?

That is, it's cool when you draw it rather than just apply a filter.
