The tache bone's connected to the eye bone...
In other news, I don't exactly enjoy being fucked over by my employers.

See down the board.
I had a meeting today to determine if I was going to be fired or not and they said they "couldn't reach a decision at this time".
So I've now been put on hold till Friday. Bastards.

shame
that you're not in a position to tell them to shove their job up their arse.

Must have dropped off the bottom
*smirk* I said 'bottom'
But all bumheaddedness to them.

me either
my boss is 26 stone, and less than gentle.
edit: vent it out, it'll make you feel a bit better. Most bosses are tossers, it's like a universal rule.

I am indeed back
and now home. The only plus side of all this was that I got to go home early.
I basically went to the meeting, spilled my guts on everything including reasons for absence, how much I wanted the job, proved I could do the job properly... Really put my heart and soul into it.
They called me back after 30 minutes and said they couldn't reach a decision due to lack of info and I would find out on Friday.

How do you figure?
They've said they need to contact people to get more information and they're going to make a final decision at the end of the week...
Firing is still an option it seems.

What information?
It's so annoying when places do that..
"Right, well, that's everything we need to know. We just need a little more information and we'll let you know"
It makes no sense..
Damn them. Damn them all.

Well, exactly.
I asked them what they needed to do and they said "there are still a few issues we need to clarify".
Sounds to me as though they're saying "we want to fire you but we don't have enough information to back it up".
I do have a right to appeal against the decision but I don't know if I can actually be bothered if it means going through all this shit.

Hmmm....
Sounds like you'd be better off without them...
Though having said that I've just persuaded Mrs Broom to quit her job and do voluntary stuff until she finds a job worth having, so I'm clearly in that kind of mood.

Should have made it clear...
I'm supporting her through that six months as well...
I don't know if that was sarcasm or not, but just in case, I thought I'd defend my actions...

You just don't come across this sort of kindness very often anymore. I'm genuinely pleased.

Well it's kind of self serving too...
I mean, it's much nicer being around someone who's happy...
I know what you mean though, too many people are out for themselves these days...

There's no way I can afford it unfortunately.
If I lose this job, I have major problems.

Couldn't you earn a fortune somewhere else?

I could
but the problem is that I can't manage in the meantime.
Also I have serious concerns over what my next potential employer would say if I informed them I failed my probation in my previous position.
