Working from home and the cupboards are bare..
However corned beef and bread fried in butter
with a dollop of beans has done the job.

It does have to be said that the finest way to de-glaze a frying pan is with half a tin of beans.
Makes them all gooey. Lovely.

Why should every other farmer in the British Isles have to lose animals to TB when this 'special' one could get away scot free. It would mean bedlam as farmers up and down the country refuse to have infected animals slaughtered. and then you can kiss goodbye this countries TB free* status
*free where there aren't immigrants bringing it in from foreign countries

and it wasn't part of a herd. completely different situation.
The only reason they didn't treat the other cows (with vaccine/antibiotics as appropriate) was cost, they still wouldn't be able to sell the meat afterwards even though it would be safe and DEFRA are a massively incompetent bunch of fuckwits.
I agree, why should every other farmer in the British Isles have to lose animals?
DEFRA are also largely to blame for the lack of flood defenses. They were really shit at handing EU money out to farmers, instead spending it on consultants to work out how to not get round to handing out the money. When they were fined for not doing their job properly they slashed the budget for flood defenses.

Responsible for spreading TB and killing ground nesting bird. And protected by the government because animal welfare charities donate lots of money to labour.
And then DEFRA have the audacity to blame a reduction in ground nesting birds on farmers. Grrr
