# 'The year is 1940 - Hitler has used the occult to go back in time to fiction'
This took far too much time considering how disappointing it looks.

# is that a giant sky-snake?
Woo!
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:08, archived)
# I hope so.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:09, archived)
# It is. A giant sky serpent with a nazi gun nest strapped to its belly.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:12, archived)
# That makes it one million times more woosome!
:)
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:13, archived)
# disappointing?
sir, you underestimate yourself
quite woo indeed!
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:09, archived)
# You've got a really good grasp of perspective.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:09, archived)
# Not done from mind unfortunately, I can rarely do that. Especially not with objects I don't know exactly from every angle.
I had to line a few photos of spitfires and such up in photoshop.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:11, archived)
# That's a good idea, actually.
I like your shading as well, I find biro to be really quite adaptable whereas people never think it will be.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:13, archived)
# It is I suppose, but i'd rather I was able to just draw well from thought. I might mock up a few pictures and have a go at a single page of that graphic novel I spoke about.
If you have the time to use biros they are quite good because it shitting eats away hours trying to shade anything half decently. The sky on my other one took about an hour and half alone I think.

The nazi serpent ended up looking a bit dull though and that was kind of the whole point of the sketch.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:19, archived)
# Maybe a bit darker?
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:20, archived)
# you can't get much darker than nazi occultism
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:25, archived)
# Which reminds me, going to see hellboy 2?
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:30, archived)
# HELL FUCKING YEAH!
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:42, archived)
# Hahaha.
I could had the view over the cockpit of one of the spitfires, with a fedora wearing cigarette smoking ex cop out for revenge on the sky serpent. He was getting his wife's killer even if it ended in his own death.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:30, archived)
# I think it just needed to look more amazing and a brilliant concept drawing.
Which it didn't.

I wish I could do that cocking ace concept drawing of weird futuristic tanks people do, they are so bloody brilliant.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:26, archived)
# you've well lost me.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:29, archived)
# Things like this:
bp0.blogger.com/_sGYULzoQCgA/Rj95gDB_-oI/AAAAAAAAAkY/0Uy6HeHBy34/s1600-h/spacecraft+tta+colonial+paleofuture+paleo-future.jpg

From a really weird illustration book I have on my shelf somewhere. Ignoring the colouring and shading I can't even get anywhere near interesting shapes or construction of things. My objects always look really boring and plain.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:37, archived)
# Oh wow, I see what you mean.
I think it takes a certain kind of.... artchitecty kind of person to do stuff with that amount of repetetive but believable detail.

I like your stuff.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:43, archived)
# Gonna curl up an' watch a film.
I hope you feel better ASAP. :) Hugs an' stuff.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:48, archived)
# *hug*
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:52, archived)
# Bah. You like everything and everyone!
I will never really be happy with my abilities or creations ever ever ever. Although if I could draw like JollyJack I probably might be inclined to be pleased with myself.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:55, archived)
# Biro's are best for drawing :)
Well done, squire.

# Snazzy!
Was it you that did the biro drawing of a colossus (sp?) from the game?
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:12, archived)
# Ja.
Same colossus unfortunately, I just got the idea for a giant Nazi hindenburg style channel assault for some reason. And the one without seeing as most people preferred it.

(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:14, archived)
# Very cool.
You've got a recognisable style.
(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:16, archived)

(, Sat 29 Mar 2008, 23:31, archived)
# I only know a few mental people.
And pretty much all of them I don't remember the name of and all featured in one of Adam Curtis' documentaries (Century of the Self I think it was).
